lost my mine

Well, I spend the entire day in a friends garage (9 hrs) and did a full (best I could, not as talented as others here) exterior detail. Best results I've gotten so far and it looks like the swirls are finally gone. I used:

Is there anything I should have done differently?. As always any comments will be welcome, want to learn as much as I can.

Thanks all, two months ago I would have wash with ivory snow, tried with an old T-shirt and applied a layer of Nu-Finish on the black paint. Sure glad I found this site. :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs
