Looking for the ultimate high end wax for my rich customers

I'd do $80 for one jar and forget the refill - or if Brandon1 is interested and would go in halves - I'd do 2 for $175.00 and save shipping on that whole refill thing. Otherwise, my cabinent of pricey LSP's is lonely, only a jar of Souveran. Brandon did give me a small sample of CG 50/50 and that was pretty good.

Then checkout some: Dodo Juice, Swissvax, Victoria Wax, and/or Lusso Oro. :dance

My point is... focus on what you can sell your customers at a premium. If you can market a detail to your high-end customers for $1,000+ because you are using a wax that cost several thousands of dollars, then you are on target. You are marketing exclusivity, not performance.

The problem with that approach (which I know works well) is that I feel somewhat dishonest, knowing that a less expensive wax will provide excellent results. I find it personally difficult to try and justify to someone the benefits of an ultra high end carnauba when I know that the results are not in line with the price.

Honestly, I'd rather spend the extra time polishing the paint (and of course making more) since that will give much more noticable results.

Another issue with the "sell the exclusivity of my $2000 wax approach" is that you commodotize (not sure if that's a word, but it should be) yourself. If the sole reason that your service is selling for $600+ is that your wax comes from Switzerland, then you are in serious trouble when someone comes along offering a similar product for far less. You are much better off selling yourself.

Well if someone comes along with the same wax for less, then it my definition becomes "less exclussive".

My wife and I deal extensively with the "wealthy" type in non-profit fund raising for the arts in Winston-Salem and running a community center. This trait is almost as dead on as a zit on a teenagers nose!
