Looking for the ultimate high end wax for my rich customers

Why not use NXT? Looks great and protects well in Texas weather. Top it with another coat of NXT to increase wow factor.

Have you looked at the date when this thread was started? This was almost 2 years before NXT came out.

And why someone would bring up a thread that is well over 6 years old is beyond me.

It's always good to see old threads pop up. Especially from the "Great Ones" who are tried and true. I'd love to see Scottwax chime back in on this tread and share his views from today's perspective.

From today's perspective I'd still go with collinite for daily drivers. But if you had to choose a beauty wax for people who want great looks I'd go with NXT, or multiple coats of collinite. Seems 3 coats hides defects as well as the NXT. If people wanna brag about how expensive their wax was then I'd buy someone's empty container of high end zymol fill it with NXT and show them the container and say this is the most expensive wax *container* on the market. :chuckle: A polish and wax job and they couldn't tell the difference, cause if they could it would mean they're an autopian and would be doing it themselves anyway.

I totally got caught off guard by how old the OP was!!!

I'm thinking to myself, "Huh...there are a bunch of people with the same motto under their name....Banned."

Victoria Concours red wax. As good or better than any wax regardless of price IMO. I have used Victoria wax for years and love the results. I have tried other high end waxes but nothing seems to be able to top it. I tend to use this wax on show vehicles or if someone wants something special. Multiple layers give a very nice look and at $48 CAD. it's pretty hard to beat.

I was reading this thread, wondering if someone had gotten onto Scott's login to ask all these novice questions. I finally figured it out...

I have Souveran, Paste Glaz, Meguiars #16 and Carnauba Moose. In the last year, I may have used #16 twice, Souveran once, Paste Glaz not at all and the rest of the time I've used Carnauba Moose. IMO, it is the best all around carnauba on the market. Looks great, easy on and off and good durability too. My thoughts now are that there isn't going to be a $2000 wax that is actually worth the additional $1980 price over a bottle of Carnauba Moose. ;)

I use either Opti-Seal, UPGP or Werkstat's Acrylic Jett when I use sealants. Usually Opti-Seal though.

Reading through this old thead, I mentioned right off the bat I wasn't interested in using Zaino, yet someone just had to question that. Someone who holds himself up (at least at the time) of being completely unbiased. Honestly that is the type of stuff that really turned me off to Zaino for a really long time.

This is what I do after the prep. Klasse AIO, at least 1 coat of KSG (depending on how much time I have) and then top off with either Pinnacle or P21s. You can't go wrong. Protection is amazing. No staining of trim whatsoever.

Hey Scott: holler at me with a PM. I've got some Wolfgang Fuzion left in a sample that AutoGeek gave me. I like it even better than Souveran! It's a combo Sealant and Carnuba and seems to work well...especially on dark cars.

I can ship the remaining jar to you in Texas.

Totoland

I'd give WG Fuzion a try if they dropped the price to Souveran level, otherwise, I'm happy with Megs 21 and Souveran.

Scott, here are my thoughts on this. High-end customers are buying a "feeling" more so than a performance of a wax/sealant. These guys are not trained to know and recognize the difference between Mother's FX wax side by side from a couple coats of Royale. Frankly, half of "autopians" couldn't pass a comparo test like this!

My point is... focus on what you can sell your customers at a premium. If you can market a detail to your high-end customers for $1,000+ because you are using a wax that cost several thousands of dollars, then you are on target. You are marketing exclusivity, not performance.

Look at high-end country clubs, golf courses or even restaurants. Is their $800 steak, or $10,000 t-time really an order of magnitude better than a "Ruth's Chris" or 18 holes at the local municipal course? Of course not, but that isn't what those customers are buying. The are buying exclusivity.

This is how I justify the "ultra-premium" waxes. Anything over about $80 is just that... marketing exclusivity.

Fuzion $175

Souveran $90

1 Jar of Souveran = $90

2 Jars of Fuzion (1 + 1 free refill) = $175.

With your Autopia 10% discount, 1 jar of Souveran is $81. 2 jars of Fuzion would be $157.50, or $78.75 each. :wavey

Then it's not really free, is it? ;)
