Look what I get to play with (new Flex content)

I have been using the Lexol line of products with pretty good results. I really like the cleaner. But, the conditioner is watery and doesn't really seem to penetrate the leather. I have a bottle of this Gliptone leather conditioner and I actually like it. It's pretty cheep stuff price wise. It's a thick consistancy and it really seems to get deep into the leather. Honestly, I really fail to see any important difference between any leather conditioners I have used including those two. Also, is there a Vinyel product that I can use that will leave a matte finish. (In exception of vinyelx and 303 because 303 is too expensive). Comments friends? :)

I will be using the new Flex rotary machine on my next two corrections, will keep you posted...

Big thanks to Phil for letting me demo this machine and give some feedback on it and a big thanks to Sonax for hooking it all up.

David, you dog!

You see, that is what happens when you are at the top of the game. The manufacturers want all the best detailers to demo their machines (and you are certainly one of the best).

Let us know how you like it, and good luck!!

David,

2 bad you didn't have it for that Comaro! I look forward to hearing your opinion of it compared to your other roto's and also the Flex DA.

Enjoy!

Jeff

Congratulations, David !!! :hurray:

I know that your mad skills and experience will make this a most informative, unbiased, test of what appears to be a great Flex product..

Put me on the list with those above, who await your test result write up.

I really wish we had such good representation on the West Coast !

david,

I'm most interested in how it performs under long term load.

Does is reduce rpms
Does is heat up a lot.
Can it spin thick wool

I have a makita and love it. I saw the flex at SEMA felt light, agile, but past flex rotarys have not performed on boat details, or long term heavy compounding.

Cheers,
GREG

Very nice review Dave. Looks like a great polisher.

I am looking forward to seeing the next video.

Nice review. I look forward to more, especially after I just backed over the handle/trigger end of my dewalt. Had company for about 2 hours then went back to work and got in to move the car on the opposite side the buffer was on and crunch.

As promised a back to back video between the PE 14-2 and the 3403. Im not talking in this video just demonstrating the two polishers both with the exact same pad polish and speed settings. Differences in sound are slight but the 3403 has a whine and the PE 14-2 had a moderate drone

Notes:

Polish being used - Sonax Perfect Finish
BP - Sonax
Speeds - 900/1100, 1500, 1900

Yes the spare wheel is bent on this car, I know, the owner knows, deal with it.
