This thing was a real beast. It is basically a box on wheels so most of the panels are pretty much flat, thank goodness. I had all kinds of things happen during this detail that killed my time line but nothing to do with the detail itself. From working in the rain most of Sat. morning to my digital camera being destroyed, it was a long weekend. But I won?t get into all of the details.
Anyway, on the interior I used leatherique twins on the seats. This stuff always amazes me how well it works. It pulls the dirt out of the seats like crazy. I like to use the blue waffle applicator sponge to really gets into the leather. 303 followed that and the rest of the interior trim and panels. I like GM vehicles but true to GM they can?t produce a nice interior to save their lives and this was a prime example, a lot of cheap plastic. I did not get a chance to get any after photos because I had to borrow a camera and it was almost out of memory.
On the outside I tried Meg?s 205 for the first time. The gloss was awesome but I did not get the correction I needed. GM clear coat is pretty hard. I pulled out my Makita with and orange pad and some Meg?s #83 and it worked perfect. I really could have stopped with the #83 but I wanted to see if I could shine it up a bit more. I went side by side with the 205 and #80 to follow up. The gloss on the 205 was a bit better but not enough to notice on white so I decided to save the 205 for another day and use the #80. I am going to have to buy some 105 now because I can see what all the hype is about. I used Optimum Opti-Seal as my LSP. On the bumpers I used Black Wow and the trim with Autoglym bumper care. I hand polished the wheels with Optimum metal polish. I had a nice big blue tape ball when I was done. Anyway, I was glad to be done with this thing.
