So I have decided to takle the Zaino step but really want to wax my and detail the G TODAY. So what would you guys recomend for waxing the car today. Anything that I can pick-up at the local retail store?
 
If I understand your post correctly, you will be using Zaino when your order arrives but you want to wax your car today while you are waiting on your new products?



I would recommend Duragloss Total Performance Polish #105 and maybe top with Duragloss Aquawax

If you're just looking for a short-term solution and durability isn't your biggest concern, I still like Megs NXT. The liquid Tech Wax looks great on my dark red metallic paint.
 
They are many possibilities: if you want a quick, easy, inepensive, temporary solution, try Turtle Wax Platinum Ultra Gloss ($3.50 at Big Lots, 7-$8 elsewhere). NXT isn't cheap for OTC. Mothers FX would also be easy to find ($8 at Walmrt). Duragloss (as Joshua stated) would be excellent. You can buy both those products for the price of NXT.

If he does that he may end up returning the Zaino!
 
Too bad Duragloss isn't sold at more places besides Carquest. Most of us in CA couldn't even tell you where a Carquest is, although according to their website we do have some down here in SoCal.



If you're going to be getting Zaino anyway in a few days and using their system, just get Aquawax and save yourself the $10 on the Total Performance Polish #105. For $7-9 bucks, you can have way better protection than NXT not only at half the price but quicker and easier to use.
 
Mothers reflections wax hands down in my oppinion. So easy on and so easy off and it is a pure synthetic that lasts for 3-4 months and gives the look of a carnuba wax. It is the best over the counter product I have ever used. Honestly since I started useing it I havent touched my zaino but dont get me wrong I still love my zaino.
 
I could not find duragloss anywhere here in San Antonio. So I went for the NXT. I worked out great. plus I like the G on the bottle :xyxthumbs thanks for the help guys. now I am off to the local car club meeting!
 
I guess Meguiar's marketing tactics worked. I think most of us at one point has been suckered in to buy NXT. You won't realize how crappy of a product it really is until you try something else.
