I am looking for a good product available locally at Autozone, Walmart, or similar that will act as a nice dressing for my tires and protect exterior plastic/rubber surfaces. Will eagle one wet tire shine do this?

Thanks for your assistance..

Depends upon the shine you're looking for. I stay away from the Eagle Ones and Black Magics since they have petroleum distillates.

I prefer Lexol which can be bought locally and has a low gloss look. Also You can check out the Meguiars Gold Class protectant that comes in a spray bottle. I got mine at Target for like $4.50. However I mostly use Klasse on my exterior black plastic.

If you want cheap, and don't flame up on me, try the Armor All prodcuts. They come in different finishes and if I remember correctly, they have UV protectants and no petroleum distillates.

My vote has to go to Stoner's. I recently tried their Trim Shine and More Shine Less Time for Tires and love it. The tire shine leaves a great shine that is not too glossy and will not run or sling off. It is my favorite tire dressing. Meguiar's Hot Shine in the can is OK, but it tends to run and sling more than I like.

I like both the Stoners products as well. I've been using their Invisible Glass for a while now. Recently the Autozone here started carrying the Trim Shine and More Shine Less Time so I bought a can of each to try out. I was very happy with both, the Trim Shine is excellent on negelected trim and cladding and if you like shiny tires you will like the More Shine Less Time product.

Definately try the Lexol Vinylex, a good one product for all trim and tire product. I especially like it on my tires, it has a very nice low gloss shine to it. I'm not sure you can find it everywhere you go though, but it is available locally.

I have also used the EO WET tire shine and like it as well, the shine is a little glossier, but is pretty nice overall. I wouldn't use it on the exterior trim however, I don't think it offers much UV protection (just my opinion).

I recently came across Turtle Wax's (NO burning.. please) Tire Wax.. it's a green bottle and comes with a long black foam applicator.. the stuff does NOT sling off tires, and creates a nice matte look on tires and trim.. you can even buff it a little more an even matter (is that a word?) shine.

I'm not sure if any place "local" there would regularly carry the favourite 303, but I imagine any of the regular protectants from Meguiar's (Natural Shine or something?) Mothers (Preserves), or Eagle One (Protectant in the black bottle) would all do just fine. Or yeah Armor All too. :p Basically I'd personally stay away from the high-shine, colourless stuff with pet. distillates like Spilchy.

I've Autozone, Carquest, Napa, Warners, Ace, TruValue, & Walmart near. I know Walmart does not carry the previously mentioned products, and I don't believe the Autozone does though I have not searched thoroughly.

If you are interested in buying 303, check out a marine store, if you have one. 303 is originally intended for use on boat canvasas and such. We own a boat, and for the longest time ordered 303 for use on the canvas and such. We have a store called West Marine now here, and they carry 303.

So, check out some marine stores, if you have any, in your area. They might carry 303.
