Little white paint spots on hood

Hey everybody, I am fairly new to this site and had a question. I bought a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently. It is that steel blue color which I like alot. I will go to work soon on the paint once it gets warmer out, but there is one thing that is bugging me about the paint on the hood. It looks like small white paint spots on the hood of the vehicle, and some on the winshield. It appears to be some sort of household paint but not sure. Any tips on removing these would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of mineral spirits and then my Menzerna products after that.

If the claying doesn't work, you might want to try somethng like a bug and tar remover. I've seen tiny specks of sap dry into small whitish dots. Maybe that's what your seeing?

And a cleaner followed by a sealant and wax... :xyxthumbs

You might try some QD & clay first. I had good luck getting overspray off w/ that. It will work best on the glass, but may require more work for hood paint.

are you sure its not wax buildup in the rock chips? i thought i had some white spots on the car too, but it turns out i have wax got stuck and dried up in the rock chips.
