I have not posted any pictures here and I had a request to post my work both here and on another forum. I have been away from detailing for a while due to personal reasons and have just recently started back into this again.

Anyway:

The process:

Wash with NXT Car wash

Clay with Meguiar's Fine Clay Kit

Wash with NXT Car Wash

Wheels/Tires:

P21S Wheel Cleaner

Eimann Fabrik Tire Cleaner

Meguiar's Endurance Natural Look X 2

Polish:

As you will see from the pictures, the paint needed a lot of correction although my truck was in fair shape.

-Meguiar's #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish with a PC and Lake Country Orange Light Cutting Pad -Speed 5

-Meguiar's #80 Speed Glaze with a PC with a lake Country White Polishing Pad - Speed 5

-Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze - For some reason I decided to try this with my PC and it did not work well. I should know better. Lake Country White Polising Pad - Speed 5

-Meguiar's #21 Synthetic Sealant X 2 applied by hand and buffed with a Microfiber Bonnet - Speed 5.

-Danase' Wet Look Glaze by hand and buffed with a Microfiber Towel

-P21s Wax applied by hand and wiped with a Microfiber Towel.

It's be nice if you could make the pictures full size. That way we'd be able to enjoy it a lot quicker :) Got some mighty orange peel there, but you did an AMAZING job at reconditioning the paint. Did you find the #83 hard to work with?

Like always, #83 has a short work time so you have to move fast. The #80 gave me a long working time so I spent a lot of time doing paint correction with it. Gotta Luv that orange peel on new cars.

Here's a few afters in full size.

LOL - Im sorry but the reflection of the tree looks like it connects directly to your body and the tree actually looks like it has a smile on it and two beady eyes!!!!!!! :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Other than that, great job! Must have taken a good bit of time for a full size truck like that.

Oh crap, I didnt realize it was Ford Ranger, from the angles it almost looked like a Chevy Silverado! Great job anyway ;)

Funny Chris! I was thinking the same too. I was looking for his head and then I seen the teeth in the bush

Great reflection shots!
