Lint on paint after drying, what to do??

Everytime after I washed and dried my car I notice some lint on the paint which is from the WW. I use a CWB and WW to dry my car. My question is how can I remove the lint?? Use a QD and a lint free MF (or regular MF)?? I think there's a thread about this some time ago.

:nixweiss. Every brand WW ( MicrofiberTech, Exceldetail, and CMA) I have ever used never produced lint. Are you washing and storing your MF's and WW's separate from other weave type products?

I store and wash my MFs and WWs together but my cotton towels are store and wash separately. I thought you can store and wash MF and WW together :nixweiss

I try to store MF/WW's separately just because of the fear of "static electricity" that may be on the MF/WW's may attract some lint from the non-MF products. Is this the root cause of your linting problem? Just a thought. My MicrofiberTech WW are almost 2 years old and they still do not lint.

Do you check the washing machine prior to placing your MF/WW's in for washing? I always wipe it down just to move any fabric debris (lint) that maybe on the bowl from my wife's previous load of household laundry.

Do you store your dirty WW/MF's and other towels (ie cotton terry) separately? Another anal procedure that I use. :o

I store my MFs and WW together. I never wipe down the bowl before I put my towels in. Do you recommand me to put my MFs and WW seperately from each other??

If possible I would store separately and try wiping down washer. Also since you are in colder climate then I am, the static electric could be greater this time of year :nixweiss

That is one of the reasons why I've been an Absorber holdover, no lint. Do you guys think that WW microfiber has some tendency to remove existing layers of wax/sealant when drying? It's another issue that I want to learn about before I get a WW towel.

No.The absorber, which I also use, creates more gripping of finish than a WW. A WW literally glides across the finish.

I believe C-MDX's problem with linting is quite unique. JMO

This is one of my biggest secrets that I share with my customers. Whatever color your vehicle is, that is the color of 100% cotton towel you should be using. Black car, black towel red car, red towel and so on.

???????????????

I think Auto Care USA's point is that by using the same color towel as the paint, if it does lint, it won't be as noticeable. Atleast that's what I hope he means. When I first read it, I wasn't too sure...

I did the quick wipe down in the bowl and did a rinse cycle. Do you think that removed all the lint from the WW??

C-MDX - What brand of WW are you using? Are you having this problem with more than one different brand?

I use Pakshak WW and the Ultimate Drying towel from autopia car care. I don't know if the rinse I did removed all the lint but I hope it did.

Thats right if the car is black and you use a black towel, what lint will be there will be black and unoticeable. This goes for any color vehicle.

So does anyone know if the rinse I did with only WW helped removed the lint?? I now store all my WW in a seperate bag.

ditto. there's some truth to this.

90% of my towels (mf or cotton) are blue for my blue car.

there will always be a little bit of lint.. some are so tiny (ie. mf lint) that most ppl just don't notice them.

same goes for my bathing towel :D samilar colour as me. i know i am pushing it.. lol. but i hate the lint on my face and body.
