Lincoln Aviator - Paint Question

A friend of mine just bought on '05 Aviator that has a blown tranny. He's going to replace the tranny and look to re-sell it. Wants me to polish out the paint and get it looking all "perty.."

Anyone have any experience with the paint on these vehicles in terms of hardness?? I'm wondering if Meg's Ultimate compound and an LC orange pad will bang out all the swirl marks?? I do have 105 but I'd love to avoid the dust and removal issues and use something else if I can.

And yes, it's black..of course.

Best way to find out if UC and the orange pad will work is to try it out on a test panel. If you like the results, then use it. If you dont see that its cutting the way you want, you may have to go with 105. Keep in mind, that there may be the possibility of hazing afterwards, so youll want to have a much more gentle pad to finish out.
