Light Scuff on Edge of Fender

I have a 2006 Chevy Equinox. On the inside edge of my front wheel fender I have noticed a small scuff mark that looks to be from water/road debris entering the wheel well and running out past the edge.

If I run my wet finger over it I can make it disappear until it dries then I can see it again.

What can I try to remove or hide it. I don't want to do anything that will weaken the clear coat or paint in the area.
 
try a light paint cleaner such as ScratchX and if that doesnt work then use something a little more aggressive



be sure to seal the paint in with your favorite wax afterwards. as any cleaner you use will remove whatever wax was on the surface.
