Lexus LS400

TOday I detailed a black Lexus LS400. At first glance it appeared to be in very good condition. Nice and shiny and clean from a distance. However, up close the swirls were horrendous. I got to pick up the car and drive it to my place and was not really impressed with the ride, but then again it is a lexus. When I notice dit had nearl 150k miles on the clock I was very impressed. The car drove like new, albeit very poorly; absolutely no connection with the road whatsoever, but I guess that is how a lexus drives. Now to the detail.

ssr2.5

RMG

EX-P

PB's natural look on tires

ex-p on wheels

lexol on leather

vacuum carpet

The swirls were greatly lessened by about 3 passes of ssr2.5, but they were still pretty obvious to me. I wasn;t getting paid for heavy compounding and to be honest the customer probably never even noticed the swirls before so i decided to give RMG a try and see what it could fill. IT really broguht out some depth in th epaint but it was hard to tell if it filled any swirls. Still seems like a great product.

Very deep and wet!

I hear ya on the swirls. Real frustrating to bust your hump removing them and the customer doesn't even notice. All they see is that it is shinier. I guess as long as they are happy, that is what counts.

Looks good, I recently did a car that had quite a bit of swirling. When I couldn't get them totally out I figured screw it because the customer would really notice the shine anyway. When he picked it up he said it looked sexy so I guess he wasn't worried about the swirling that was left over.
