Let's see your garages!

Porkanbeans

O RLY?
Time to show them off! I guess I'll start with mine. Right now it's kind of a holding space for our repainted patio furniture and a bunch of other crap. It may not look like the best space, but it has some potential. This is our fall home improvement project. We're gonna paint everything white and put more flourescent lighting in, as well as a floor coating. We'll also organize everything so the garage is 90% car detailing.

That's our garage, let's see yours!

little closet off the back:
Sorry about the poor lighting. We saw the edge of Frances today, it was cloudy and windy all day.

Give me about a month and I'll have some really sweet pictures of my next garage. We close on September 28th. The first thing I'm going to do is get a picture of my car parked smack dab in the middle of it. :D Its two cars deep and the plan is to convert the back half into a full blown detail shop. I've got my wish list drawn out and budgeted to be completed in the next two years. It is going to be built with detailing funds, so it will take some time. I can't wait for it to get done.

Here is the outside of it anyway...

Here is my current garage in my duplex. These are pictures from the first organized OCDetails meet. I did a detail on half of that probe so that people could see what the potential was. Kind of like having a puzzle and looking at the box for direction. Anyway, we had five or six people crammed in there learning how to clay and use a PC to remove oxidation and swirls. You can see how small that garage is. Imagine doing an Expedition in there. Its not fun at all. I can't wait for my new garage......

That's RegalGS there on the PC. Where has she been anyway....?

I see you like those Costco MF's. I am still using them, but i have notices they lose their ability to absorb water, and some even starting to lint. I am thinking of purcasing the same generator, Generac 4000 exl OHV with electric start, do they run good? Are they reliable?
Your van looks awesome!!!!
Oh and where did you get that blue crush proof vacuum hose? I have been looking for my shop vac. Does your shop vac has a screw type fitting at the end?

Porkandbeans,
I am sue the garage will look great once you are done. How many cars can you fit in the garage? It seems pretty deep and I like the storage room in the back.

What a small a garage. I am jealous. Do you have anymore pics from the OCD meet?

Ron
Nice van.

Ed,
I haven't tried to fit more than 1 car in there since there's a bunch of crap narrowing the space, but I imagine I'd be able to fit 2 small cars in there when it's all said and done. The current working space is quite narrow, which is kind of a setback. I'd much rather have it 2 cars wide. But if I'm doing 2 cars in tandem I can always use the 2 car garage on the other side of the house.

That fridge, shelving, and pile of bricks will be moved when we clean the place up, so it'll give me another 4 feet or so.

The costco MFs are ok I dont touch the paint with them. just windows, jams stufflike that. I've thrown away more than what you see in the picture. The generator is ok but it's starting to give me problems. The starter went out . The low speed idle is out of wack and I think it needs a valve job. It dose get alot of use maby 6 to 8 Hrs. per day. I should just breakdown and purchase a honda. The hose is from a Co. in Corona CA. called MR Nozzle.
I purchased 100ft of the stuff. That is the only way they sell it . I think it was only $80.00 They also have kits I dont know if it sold on line. Check out the web site mrnozzle.com.
The shopvac has the screw fitting but I dont use it. I got a special one from Mr. Nozzle that you just stick in and pull out.

Good Luck.

Just thought I'd update you guys on my garage:

We concluded that the single car is too small to run a detailing biz out of and it needs to hold too much stuff, so I'm going to use the 2 car garage on the other side of our house. It has 3 big windows letting in a MASSIVE amount of natural light in addition to the light from the open garage door. I bought the components of the BEHR garage floor painting system and I'll be starting on it tomorrow (mmm... acid etching :doh :hurl ). After that all I'll need is a huge Poorboy's banner! I'll post pics when I'm done.

lol my garage is a mess!! i dont think you wanna see my garage :(. its really messy, and its an open garage at the bottom of a hill, so we constantly get dust blowing in the garage, which is bad news for the cars.

Very nice PRS! You can't beat a pair of British Racing Green classics!

I woke up this morning at about 7:00 to prime the floor. I finished it 30 min. ago (so it took about an hour). Now I can put the epoxy down at around 4:00 this afternoon, so I'll have some pics up by 5:30.
