"Least" Favorite detailing chore...

Most of us around here love working with the paint... polishing, sealing, etc.

But there are some items that most of us just DREAD! For me it's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning!!! Actually, interiors in general. I always do the interior first to get it DONE so I can move on to the good stuff.

(I think it's because I'm 6'-4" and 295... not easy to crawl around in the interior!!!! Haha!);)

When I first started detailing for pay, I did a lot of trashed mini-vans and Suburbans... That really burned me out on interiors!!!!! LOL:D

What's your "dreaded" task?

I hate interiors, too. I think I've done a total of three interiors for pay and two of those were because they were friends.

Yup, I really don't like interiors at all. I'm thinking about doing them for hire this summer, but the more I think about it, the less I want to.

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!!

A guy once brought me a trashed-out Ford Excursion... he had 4 kids (need I say more!!! haha.) I never saw so many old crusty fries, Taco Bell wrappers, half of an old burger (Yuk!!!) and a melted, dried ice cream cone on the carpet in back!

After that experience, I started charging by the hour!!!! Haha!!:D:D:D

i always hate doing interiors... especially trunks... i dont know why but it always seems to be that i get the cars that the owners used to haul horse crap or something with it

Interiors are not my favorite, but of all the interior components, the rear window is my least favorite - especially if the car is a coupe or (worse), a two seater. Equally bad are dirty headliners, especially if the headliner is on the verge of separating from the roof.

Oooooooooooooooo..... coupe rear windows!!!!! :eek::mad::eek::mad:

I also hate interiors. 2 weeks ago, I detailed a Cadillac Escalade ESV (I think ESV...it was the extra long one). I was vacuuming under the passenger seat, and found and ENTIRE MacDonald's cheeseburger, not in the wrapper. There were 2 things that were funny about it...first, it had shrunk to about 2/3 of its normal size. Secondly, it had no smell what so ever. It was the weirdest thing, because it was perfectly in tact, but had shrunk, and was hard as a rock. Who the he!! loses an entire cheeseburger under their seat?

A close second to interiors are wheels...especially if those wheels belong to a BMW.

When my five collies try to bite the rinse water coming out of the hose when I rinse my truck after washing. :)
