Least abrasive degreaser?

A few weeks ago I tried using a garden sprayer (1 gallon pump up style with wand) to clean an engine. I degreased with greased lightning orange blast, rinsed with the sprayer, and dressed with OTC dressing. It worked really well but I worry about not rinsing well enough (seemed great but still I worry about it). Is there a less chemically abrasive degreaser out there?



And is simple green awful? I keep hearing how it may etch metals and to rinse really well.
 
I really don't think you have anything to worry about with the Orange Blast. If you are really worried, just dilute the cleaner more. I use the Orange Blast for alot of stuff and it is a great APC.
