Hi Guys

Thinking of picking up some new LC pads as im getting some other products from supplier who has LC pads.

Is the white pad still a good choice for 106FA on the Meguiars DA?

I know they do a few different colours and wasnt sure if they were any advantage on the DA.

Mainly i will be stepping down from 203S on my soft Toyota and Mistsubishi paintwork. Was looking at picking up some PO85RD3.01 again i always would have gone for white LC pad on that but do you recommend anything else?

Thanks

Geoff

If you are stepping down from Power Finish and an orange pad, then you will achieve acceptable results with the white pad and PO106F using the DA. You may not be able to completely remove the hazes caused by Power Finish if you step down to a black pad.

Thanks for the advice. I bought a couple of pads in the end so i will have a play about. I will probably use the light cut pad with the 203 and then step down. Though, my cars normally suffer only from a little light wash marring!

Why don't you just try 106 on white to start. If it truly is just light wash induced 106 should take care of it on soft paint, no sweat.:xyxthumbs

That's right.

Or you could use Power Finish 203 with a white pad, and step down to PO106FA with a black pad. That will produce a better finish quicker and is easier to manage as you do not have to spend much time removing a lot of hazes.

Yea, there's no right or wrong. Just try it and see if it works. If that doesn't work, then adjust accordingly :)
