LC pad question

Final polishing with LC VC pads and light polish. When using the white polishing pad I find I have to use almost no pressure at all for the final few passes other wise I get very small hair line scratches. I have never used any other pads with my PC and was wondering if this is similar with all brands?

I find the LC white pads to be a bit more aggressive than you might think...especially the DA white pad...the VC pad is a little less aggressive IMO.

Some lighter polishing pads are Megs yellow polishing

and Sonus Green polishing.

I agree with Alfisti, plus i like to use flat smaller pads with the PC. I like the megs yellow with FP2

Thanks for your info guy's. I think I'm going to try some other pads, I wonder if I could use the black buffing pad for final polishing?

Which final polish do use?

I've been using SSR 2.5 and SSR 1. On my black VW I always finish with SSR 1 with very light pressure to clear it up. I have 1Z polishes also but I haven't been using them since the PB arrived.

Do you mean the LC grey VC finishing pad?

It might be a bit too gentle for SSR1. Although a very mild polish, it still has some abrasives that need breaking down. A light cutting pad is the way to go.

6" Black Finishing Pad. It's probably best for sealants and waxes.
