layering question/waxing and polishing

I have a blk MB 2004-had the entire right side painted due to a hideous key job- car came out great- going to wait 3 weeks then fot the first time try MenzernaII for swirls with a porter cable 7424.



My question is : I love the way Pinnacle Soverign paste wax makes car look blacker

and I love the was P21s makes it shine GREAT



can I first use the menzerna-then

Pinnacle paste wax

then top it off with

P21s???



a friend told mine told me instead of the 70.00 pinnacle paste to layer use the pinacle liquid with a PC then hand do the P21s...



any thoughts?

I am more of a caranuba type then Klasse.......
 
I've used Souveran on top of other waxes, but I've never tried something on top of Souveran :nixweiss May very well turn out just the way you want, let us know.
 
I think topping souveran is fine... like accumulator said,

try it and spread knowledge



I was just playing around the past couple days

my process was:



#425 Between every step

ssr2.5 x 2(spot),

CK rmg,

acrylic jett x 2,

souveran x 2,

carnuaba jett x 2,

CK Quickshine



thats about the deepest, richest paint ive gotten out of my "Burnished Gold Metallic" Lexus :xyxthumbs ...

But on black??... it May scream... but that was a total collision of polishes and sealants...



no original intention of that mess but it worked...
 
being my car is blk and its a 2004 & keyed to the max- see pics in other post-

I had the entire drivers side repainted and I am going to wait a month before touching that one side that was painted

Being tha car IS fairly new and does have some fine scratches I bought menzermaII

then I was going to wax



am I missing any steps- I have the porter cable-I am really a caranuba type-I happen to like it more than Klasse etc...



Is Menzerna a polish?

is there another step i am missing? I think claying is an art-I have tried it but I dont think I do it well...



am I ok with just the hand wash-menzerna II then pinnacle sov + p 21s? sounds like overkill but once again

love the rich black soverign paste brings out

any ideas from anyone? have all new pads etc...

I normally in NY bring in NY Perfect Detailer/Brian first time out- he is superb

but im thinking later on etc....
 
By "scream" i meant if you tried a process something like that or similar, no matter what, that souveran does its job... but prep is most important so id clay anyway if i were you...

i think your process will be fine if you clay and your paints in fairly good condition



or if you really dont want to clay... there are paintwork cleansers that serve a similar purpose...
 
was GREAT- seemed simple-is it really that easy - seems like you can do an entire care in 15 minutes max or am i missing something?

Yup... 15-45 mins depending on your experience...



the more practice... the easier and quicker it is...

along with taping... same thing



allthough its pretty easy to pick up once you get the hang of things
