Layering Optimum spray wax

I know Optimum spray wax can be layerd. Any thoughts on how much time I should wait before a second coat? Also their web site shows it being put on with a buffer. Any advantage to that, maybe better shine? Lots easier to just wipe on and off by hand. This has probably been discussed before but I can't find it.

Any help appreciated.

You can apply up to 2 coats in the same day. After that, allow at least a day before

putting on any more.

OCW can be applied by hand or machine. Here's what works

for me:

Spray a small amount on the pad to prime, and spritz a little on the panel.

Set PC (or your favorite D/A machine) to the 3 setting, and make single overlapping

passes. No need to apply any pressure; just use the weight of the buffer. The

coats should be thin enough that you can barely see it on the paint.

Wipe off with a plush towel, flipping or folding over the towel regularly to a dry

section.

What's the max layers can I apply?

Can I use OCW as QD for claying?

I dont see a reason why you couldnt just layer it forever. Treat it like any other LSP. I wouldnt use it for claying since it takes so little to wax a car, you'd be wasting a TON of product. Why waste a $15 bottle of awesome spray wax, when you can use up a $5 bottle of QD or a drop of wash soap and some water.

Not waste OCW, just my lazy way to try save one step of detailing.

After claying just buff and all done :D

Hey..thanks for all the onfo. Has anyone seen any difference in shine by putting OCW on with a PC as apposed to wiping it on with a micro fiber towel?
