2002 Jaguar S-Type. Been taking care of this car weekly for about a year and a half. Last done with #80, AIO and Acrylic Jett (actually, the beta version, Shokar) in early May. Still looked good but had some minor spider swirling. Used Optimum Compound with a Meguiars cutting pad on the hood and trunk then Optimum Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad on the entire car, then finished with Detailer's Pride Sealant.

2004 Lexus LX470. I see this one about every 4-5 months since he lives about 40 miles one way from me and it is his wife's SUV. I do his Cayenne and F-250 at his office each week though. Used #80 and EX w/carnauba last time (early April, I think) and it definitely was time to go after it again. Still beading, some slickness but this LX470 gets driven! Nearly 70,000 miles on a 2 year old vehicle!



Optimum Polish with a Meguiars Polishing pad and Detailer's Pride Sealant by hand. First time I had used the DP Sealant on black and I am pretty happy with how nicely it turned out. Somewhat warmer look than most sealants. :)

2004 Ford Expidition. Customer wanted it cleaned up to sell. Says with as much as his wife drives and that since they only have one kid, the Expidition it just too big and thirsty to keep. Pretty decent shape overall, used Detailer's Pride Final Finishing Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad and the DP Sealant by hand.

Excellent work Scott!!! :xyxthumbs That Jag is such a beautiful color...the only one I've seem that hue.

Yes, I do. Easy to apply, wipes off with minimal effort (after 30-45 minute cure time) and is super slick, as in UPP/Wolfgang slick.



Armor All on all the tires and in fenderwells. May switch to Optimum Tire Dressing though, similar appearance but a bit more durable.



BillyBarou-with proper prep, anyone can make NuFinish look good. ;)
 
Hey Scott the vehicles look awesome :xyxthumbs . What polishing pad are you using with OCP and what speed on the PC, I'm asking because I broke down and ordered some.

I've been using the yellow Meguiars polishing pad with the speed on 5, sometimes bumped up to 6 to remove problem areas. I've also used it and the Optimum Compound with a burgandy cutting pad with outstanding results-clear wet finish and minimal to no marring, even with the compound.



RRacer-Washed that Jag today and honestly, it looked even better than last week. I guess the DP Sealant does improve somewhat after it completely cures. It turned out as good as anything I've ever done, I am very pleased how well the Optimum polish and compound did removing spider swirling and how really excellent the DP Sealant looks. Technique is an important part of how well a detail turns out but quality products are just as important to get the best look. :)

The DP really doesn't look that great on that Mazda blue, IMO. It didn't really look good on our blue Pilot, either. Your normal Natty's routine would've probably looked fantastic, though!
 
Drew-actually, in retrospect, NXT would probably have looked the best. Full sun shots tend to obscure the true appearance of the paint though and DP looks better after fully cured.
 
i so look forward to a "latest details" with Scottwax as the thread creator .. damn fine work as always.. excellent depth.. I really don't know how you do it without a rotary ! wow !
