Latest detailsâ„¢ v.Audi A6, #16 revisited, Natty's Blue on an '06 Charger

Scott: I just enjoy the fun of launching a manual and always having something to do. I get really bored driving automatics.

I wish I could say more about the wash product (not a spray) but with all the #@$#@$ over Shokar I don't want to get into specifics just in case the product doesn't make it to market.

Yeah, it figures.... just got hooked on QEW and now something better will (maybe) become available.

Do you like it better than QEW or is it about equal? (Last and only question, I swear)

Mike-Optimum Compound and Polish = no dusting!

Sean-I hear ya, but when I was bracket racing, I loved the consistancy of a built automatic. Besides, Dallas area traffic is so bad, plus apparently it is beyond the brain capacity of any of the area traffic engineers to have any sort of traffic light synchronization, a manual transmission is only fun about 5% of the time.

Shiny Lil Detlr-better! :nervous2:

Amen on the slushbox. They're fun on the track, but stuck in traffic... Cut my foot off now, please. :)

I am also interested im this mystery wash. I like QEW but never *loved* it, and honestly it's still a little too messy for my parking garage. So keep us updated.

Scott,

Is it only me that after the Pink Wax and Collinite adventures the #16 looks a bit lifeless? Shiny and reflective as always, but for me the former two had a more rounded appearance.

:nixweiss You aren't the only one who seems to think #16 adds little beyond the just polished look. Pink Wax and Collinite look a bit better right off the bat, but after a day or two, #16 seems to improve. Just clear and wet.

Agree my daily driver is an auto and thats the only reason im getting rid of it, I get so damn bored, and ford apparently has no idea how to pick shift points because it never shifts when it should...scott, auto’s rule in the world of bracket racing, lol almost cheating :D nothing but love for auto's there...lets stay on topic tho :nervous:

nice details. your photos of the charger, wow.

and didn't you know its an engineer's job to make life tougher? :LOLOL

thoes wheels arent stock on the charger are they? :shocked

Those are not the stock wheel. He ordered a Borla exhaust for his Charger but either it isn't in or he just hasn't had time to have it installed.

While I was finishing up the Charger, some guy who had just pulled up in a new BMW 645 walked over and said how much he liked the Charger. :)

I hear a lot of gripes about it having 4 doors, but in person the car looks terrific.

Yeah, it's a great-looking performance sedan - but since it has four doors, it's most definitely not a REAL Charger. :(

Do you use QEW on black cars all the time? Do you ever have problems with marring? If you have a choice, do you always reach for the QEW on black cars?
