To start, here a couple shots of the SC430 I used the Shokar twins on a few weeks back. Better light this time. :)

1997 Toyota Supra. Had overspray from someone sealing a fence. QEW wash, then clayed with QEW solution. Meguairs #80 with a green Propel Pad and FK's Pink Wax by hand.

Quick shot of my car after 3rd coat of Pink Wax. Not sure if it layers but it looks pretty good. I should be able to get through the next couple of months now with just a QEW wash and some Quikshine. I hope. :)

2004 Jeep. Pretty good shape overall, just some very light rotary swirls. The Jeep had been wrecked and repainted with the black and green combination this past fall. Meguiars #80 with a green Propel pad and Poorboy's EX w/carnauba by hand.

==================

2004 Ford Expidition. Regular customer. Last waxed first week of October with Meguiars #16. Lots of rain in November, a snow day in December and a lot of rain the last week of January. #16 was still beading well but slickness was almost gone.

Polished with Klasse AIO and a blue Propel Pad and #16 by hand. Why mess with success?

Last one. 2004 Lincoln Navigator. Brand new but definitely needed to be clayed. I then used AIO with a blue Propel Pad, Shokar sealant by hand and topped with Pinnacle Paste Glaz.

You never cease to amaze me by your beautiful details, classy cars, and awesome photography skills. I look forward to all your posts.

Also i know its a little old, but I wanted to PM you and tell you congrats on your 10,000th post.

BEAUTIFUL work Scott!!! :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs The Supra is my favorite...what a beautiful color...and it actually appears stock!! Don't see too many of those.

How would you compare the Propel pads against the Meg's pads?

Scottwax, You are obviously a very talented detailer !!! :up :xyxthumbs :xyxthumbs :up

Your photography skills are : :bow x 1,000,000

OUTSTANDING !!!

Mike-not only is the Supra stock but it has only 17,000 actual miles on it! The owner had used the Klasse twins on it but I guess it had never been deep polished because #80 did an incredible job bringing out the depth of that color.

I think the Meguiars and Propel pads are pretty comparible but the Propel cutting pad doesn't haze the way the burgandy Meguiars cutting pad does but it also isn't quite as aggressive. The Propel pads have a price advantage, the Meguiars pads have a convienence advantage since I can buy them locally.

Scottwax,

You went from Shokar to Paste Glaz....was it over two days or did you apply the carnauba right after the sealant (maybe your client insisted on carnauba?)

Thanks

lookin good scott like always! i have a sample of pink wax but havn't had a chance to try it yet.... again, nice work!

I went right from Shokar to Paste Glaz. The customer wants a sealant then a carnauba and it never really is convienent for either of us for me to come back the next day. The Navigator is garaged regularly and driven mostly on short trips so even a straight carnauba should last a while on it. I chose PG mainly to give a little more depth to Shokar, which is more wet and reflective than deep.

BTW, Quikshine does seem to add some depth to Shokar, as you can see with the Lexus.
