But would you really print that many pictures if you had a digital? Do you do something special with the prints now?

I have 8 completely full photo albums and probably another 1500 prints I need to organize. I keep an album or two in my car to show prospective clients.
 
Scottwax, how long do you usually spend on a full exterior detail? It sounds like you often do a couple details a day. I've been spending 6-8 hrs per vehicle.

It depends. I really keep on top of my regular customer's cars, they usually only need claying every 3rd or 4th time and almost always only a 2 step. New customers on the other hand can either be a breeze or a nightmare. Cooler weather can also slow me down.



I'be been doing this full time nearly 11 years now, you just get a system down and it makes it go a lot quicker. I'd say cars take 4-5 hours on average, trucks 4.5-5.5 hours and SUVs 5-8 hours depending on the size. Took me nearly 9 hours to do a Yukon XL last week. Pretty dirty and it was a cool, humid day.

Thanks Scottwax, I think the more I use the pc the faster I will become. Up untill September I did all my polishing by hand, I can tell you I sure am enjoying my pc.

Sean-I haven't used it again, I really don't have a whole lot to play with so I am going to be pretty choosy as to what I use it on. I have enough Z2 to lay down a couple of layers on something and enough Z5 for 2 cars, assuming two layers each. My brother's van still looks really good even though it was filthy last time I saw it. Even with all the dirt, the shine was still apparent.

That is an EXCELLENT idea!! :up I might have to break out the old Cannon 35mm and start doing that!!

Those are the good daylight pics, the ones I took with my brother's camera (Rebel EOS) came out real dark. I mentioned to my brother the comment about the daylight pics was still there, I'll have to remind him again to remove them.
