I have a customer who pays for one step exterior details for their employees and I've been trying to find a sun friendly one step that is aggressive enough to remove minor problems that also has a nice shine and has good durability. Since discovering Long-Haul's Polish/Wax is very similar to Race Glaze's Polish/Sealant (which is holding up nicely on a black Silverado SS and black Escalade since application in December), I figured it might just do the trick. NXT just doesn't have enough oomph cleaning-wise and PwC and VM aren't really meant as stand alone one steps.
I applied LH P/W with a Meguiars polishing pad to both the BMW and the Jeep. It was around 80 and obviously very sunny and I waxed the BMW at around 12:30 pm since the owner of the Jeep was still at lunch. I had no problems using the product on fairly warm paint. No removal or marring problems either. Pretty good shine and it filled/removed some very light spider swirling (last waxed in early October).

Here is Shokar's appearance at 7 weeks on a white Toyota Land Cruiser. Decently slick, though obviously not like it was just applied. I have noticed though that single stage paint seems to lose slickness a little more quickly than clear coat paint jobs. The LC was pretty dirty so it hasn't just been sitting. Beading and appearance are still very good.
Even in the slowly setting sun, the reflections didn't wash out too badly.
I tried some new products on this F250 bed. I had detailed it around the first of the year but the owner replaced the original bed with a used one (he hunts, take a guess why it needed replacing!). He had the bottom 1/4th painted gold to match the cab but the white paint was not touched. Scratches, spider swirls, dulling clear coat, etc.
Here is a before shot. I used flash to throw some harsh lighting on the paint to highlight the problems in the paint.
This is after using Clearkote's Compound and a Meguiars polishing pad. It seemed to do a great job on the scratches and spider swirling but left the paint shiny but kind of flat looking.
This is after going over the paint again, using CK's Red Machine Glaze and a Meguiars polishing pad. The gloss noticably increased after this step.
I topped it with Meguiars #16 since that is what I had used on the cab of the truck when I detailed it last. The truck has mostly sat, so #16 was holding up very well. This picture ended up noticably whiter, not sure why.
2005 Cadillac Escalade. Brand new, I applied Finish Kare's Pink Wax by hand a couple weeks ago and washed it today. I noticed when the sun hit the right front fender flare, there were some nasty rotary swirls. I didn't see them the first time I did it because it was overcast. I went over it with Poorboy's SSR2.5 and a Meguiars polishing pad, CK's Red Glaze and a polishing pad and reapplied Pink Wax. Sorry, no before and afters, just one shot left on the roll.

Now for the garage! Notice the ice machine on the wall by the back end of the Land Cruiser and all the weights, benches and heavy bag. Too cool.

I did not know that, thank-you. I think the Long-Haul product has more bite to it through, it does contain very light abrasives according to the president of the company.
Huge garage indeed, although the wooded walls are not my style. Sorry. The cars are also looking out of place. With that kind of money I'd picture more high end type cars.
Scott, he has garages on both sides of the house? I see doors on both ends....but they both look like 2-cars....while in the interior picture it looks like a 3 car...
For MY dream garage, I don't need all the sprawl/workout room....just a wash bay...and a lift bay...and room for maybe 2 more cars...

1. He also has a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. The LX470 is pretty high end as well. He also has a new F250 and used to have a Bank's enhanced Excursion. He never has been an exotic car guy in the more than 10 years I've been detailing for him.

Setec Astronomy-the picture of the main house was taken from the garage I was working in (and took pics of). It is attached to the guest apartment. The reason for the high ceilings and length was because it used to contain a batting cage (his kid played for TCU) and just outside the far end of the garage is a tennis court...of course.
