1997 BMW 740. I detail this car about twice a year, owner maintains it very well. Cleaned up the paint with Meguiars #80 Speed Glaze using a Meguiars polishing pad and waxed with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose Wax using a Meguiars finishing pad.

=============

2004 Pontiac GTO. Actually a pretty nice car. Terrific interior and the exterior styling isn't that bad but the resemblance to the Cavalier doesn't exactly help either. The LS1 does though. ;)

Pretty decent shape. Cleaned the interior with Woolite/water then dressed the vinyl with Meguiars Interior Quick Detail Spray (great no gloss look, just makes everything look new again) and the leather with Turtle Wax's Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. Much more liquid than some other conditioners so it doesn't clog the holes in ventilated seats. I had to use flash to get the pic, the interior color is actually a bit darker. I have no idea what that stain is on the upper passenger seat bolster is. Couldn't make a dent in it. :nixweiss

Exterior process is the same as the 740, #80 and CMW. :)

Thats it! I took a vacation and got pics of my son's graduation.

;)

Looks awesome Scott!

The first pic of the BMW made me say wow, very rare when I see a pic do I say that to myself. But the reflection off of the driver side of the hood really caught my eye first!!

Nice job.:D

Beautiful details on both cars Scott, the shine and depth of the paint on the BMW is gorgeous. I noticed the stain right away and wondered "Why wouldn't Scott have cleaned that?" but then I read your text. Strange that nothing would dent it at all.

Not a fan of the yellow on the GTO, as for the Cavalier resemblance maybe GM should have left the stock Holden Monaro bodywork alone. It looks amazing as it is. Congrats to your son, I'm sure you're very proud of him!

Rick - Which wheels are you referring to?

Thanks! The top half of the car was repainted by Moritz BMW a couple years ago (hail and a garage door mishap) and they laid the paint down nicely but swirled the you-know-what out of it (plus there are visible sanding marks in the roof under the paint, a real Moritz trademark  ), so I really went to town on it then and have just maintained it since. It helps when the owner really takes good care of the car. :xyxthumbs

Great work Scott. I'll have to try CMW on my yellow stang.

As far as the Turtle Wax leather conditioner, do you use

Just curious :)

Both look great....the GTO is just jumping off of my screen.

Both cars look great, but that GTO paint is flat out insane! I'd show pics like that to customers, because they really showcase the high quality work (actually art in Scott's case).

GTO looks great - did you get a chance to drive it? A friend of mine has one, and its really an amazing car. Don't ask how fast he's gotten it up to, but for those who know Maine, we went from intown Brunswick to the Boulevard in Portland in 14 minutes. Its a ride that usually takes close to 35-40 :).

Awesome work Scott :xyxthumbs

Whenever you detail black cars they look insane

I'm really not feeling the new GTOs, but to each their own.

Just yesterday I saw a new black GTO with altezzas on it :nervous2:

Beautiful work Scott!! :up Your detailing makes a blandly styled car such as that GTO even look AWESOME!!! :2thumbs:

Looks awesome Scott,

I got a hair brained question though, who in their right mind would get a LS1 with an automatic tranny? Come on, thats kinda self defeating, or at least a lot less fun ;)

Maybe less fun but some of the fastest 1/4 mile cars are auto's. That computer controlled transmission can shift a heck of a lot faster than you or I ever could and launching an auto is MUCH easier than a manual.

The spray. Excellent product, low gloss, spreads easily and has a light leathery scent.

timmah-I got to move it around a bit. I'm sure if I wanted to drive it the owner would have let me since I am sure he is aware how much his kid beats on it (as evidenced by the molten rubber stuck to the back of the rear fenderwells ;) ) and he is selling it anyway. I had other cars to do though, just not much time. Sounds very healthy though, this one definitely isn't stock.

Prometheus-the kid who drives this car has already totalled a Silverado SS and a G35 Coupe (the G35 burnt up after he flipped it) last year so that may have played a role in the decision to get an automatic. :nixweiss

I'm with Mike though, a properly modified automatic is going to be faster and more consistant on the strip. The built TH350 w/Hughes 4000 rpm stall converter was a pretty nasty set-up. :xyxthumbs
