latest detail on BMW.. NICE!!!!

well I decided to detail my dads car on dec 19, since it would be in the garage for the next couple of days. the car was tore up!!! sorry i dont have any befores, but then again, i never take befores . the car had not been washed since the summer, and was covered in dirt, and all kinds of crap!

first off, many of you know that i was at seans (gsrstilez) house that day, so i ended up starting the bmw around 430-5. all i have to say is, damn it was cold!!! how do you guys wash like that? it helped that i used warm water though. anyways, i didnt clay because the car was clayed over the summer. when i was done there were very few light swirls, so im going to ssr2.5 the car come spring. for now its good though.. the main focus for protection not a swirlfree finish, as i was limited for time, and really wasnt up to it. the process was as follows



1. wash with mothers gold

2. poorboys ssr1

3. poorboys ex-p+ x3 coats

4. wheels got klasse x2, then ex-p+ x1

5. bnb on tires (diluted)

6. windows were cleaned with stoners, then natty's



i like the ex-p+ so much that i asked steve to send me some more which i would pay for.

tonight i plan on adding a layer of poorboys nattys on top. hopefully by the end of the week ill have natty's x3. ill update with new pics when i am done with that. for now this will be the eye candy:

i used a makita 9227 (rotary) with a polishing pad... @ 1500 rpms for the ssr1, and a pc for ex-p+

That looks great...I've never seen that color look so deep. I'll have to show those pics to someone I work with that has an M3 that color...I've been trying to get him to let me detail it, but no luck so far.

EX-P+ really seems to have a very wet appearance! The BMW looks great!



I'll be detailing in the cold on Thursday. Wintery mix (whatever that means) tomorrow (Wednesday) after low 70s the last two days then highs in the 30s for Thursday and Friday. I have two vehicles to wash Thursday morning and an Excursion to detail. I hope it is warm enough to work, I am booked so tight right now I can't afford any down days!

It looks like crap jk It looks madd good i like how the rims came out. Nivindralr are you rich because the house in the pic is gigantic. Anyway the car looks really wet the reflection of the hoop on the trunk is really clear.

Scottwax: yup every1 seems to be saying it has a nice deep and wet look... weird.. you're weather is crazy... i think everyone on autopia are hoping for good weather! hopefully ill be able to atleast wash my car tomorrow.. supposed to be 40 degrees.



tkr128: thanks... yup its orient blue metallic.. love the color.. we were going to get topaz blue, and then my mom had to go to the dealership to make sure they added one option to the order (they had to build it for us cause of the options we wanted). she noticed a orient blue 3 series and changed the order to that color... im glad she did!
