Kwazar HD Foam Compression Sprayer

I went ahead and gave this foamer a try today , used 3D Orange Degreaser diluted at 4:1. Foamer was filled up a little less than half way . Honest Observations:

-Goes through product like crazy, i now see why the size of the bottle is bigger than expected.
-Pumped it about 40 times, that was only good enough for one tire/wheel/wheel well, then i had to pump it again(i did about two rounds of application to ensure all areas were covered). Tried it with a full bottle (topped it off with water after i was low on solution) and pumped as much as it allowed me to which was significantly less than 40 tmes, pressure lasted about 10 seconds after pumping and trying various times to see the accurate time/pattern of spray. I wonder if i am missing something here or doing something wrong since I've read that a full car can be done with one charge. Even Kwazar's video shows the action for about 10-12 seconds before switching scenes/video clips, which seems to confirm my test.
-It would be a plus to be able to adjust the fan size , i tried but i think it only unscrewed the tip for removal/replacement (someone correct me if i'm wrong on this please.)
-Feels like a solid piece of equipment.

I am still debating what product to keep it full with and for which use i would be able to benefit from it the most. I'll either keep it full of:Soap mixture for presoaking wheels/tires for maintenance weekly washes , Degreaser to treat wheel wells or Tar/Bug removal mixture as vehicle presoak on lower panels and front.

To those of you that own the standard non-foaming sprayers, do they also consume a lot of product or is it just this foamer? and how long does your charge last before having to stop and pump again? is it better than a standard sprayer to where it'd be worth the price of the unit?

I'd like to add that the pic below is my tire with Carpro PERL 1:1 (taken today before i washed the car) going on fairly strong(i say "fairly" because up very close you can see some of the product starting to fade off, even then, the tires still look very clean with no browning) after about 3 weeks and a a few days of rain fall here and there. Been very happy with it so far, will enhance the solution to a more "neat" mixture since at 1:1 , it comes out a bit too watery for my taste and i am spending more time spreading it around to cover properly.

Migue, I fear this is my fault and I appologize as I've likely lead you down the wrong path. I believe that when I responded to this thread initially my brain shifted gears. I use all 3 of the Kwazar pressurized sprayers. Don't know why I lost focus as this thread is specifically discussing the foamer.

I've had been very impressed with both the red and black sprayers for their ability to hold a charge. I use these with products like Spray and Wipe and they'll do pretty much what I said. The foamer as you mentioned goes through a large quantity of product. I've used it with several different shampoos and find it performs about the same with each product. I used the foamer recently with CarPro's HydroFoam on a vehicle that had just been completely washed. Diluted 1:8 it leaves a bit of room for an air charge. I pumped this until the blow off valve relieves pressure and then gave it a couple of pumps again. It would begin to lose pressure and I had to pump it up 3 or 4 times to cover a Ford Escape entirely using all of the product. Mine does go significantly longer than the 10 seconds you experienced and I couldn't guess as to why.

I was looking for something that held a charge when I'd sit it down and when I first received these (black and red) was more than satisfied in using them as compared to the smaller product branded sprayers available on PBMG. I purchased the blue one a couple of weeks later and knew when I used it that it required more pumping. I wasn't intentionally trying to mislead you when I made this statement but was obviously relating my experience with the other sprayers. All of these hold there charge when sitting on the shelf (I have two of the PBMG ones that do not). The foamer goes through significantly more product and air than the others do. I am sorry for not paying more attention to what I had reported. This all said, I do however really like this sprayer even though it is large and a bit bulky I find it to perform well in the garage giving me an option to getting a hose and traditional foamer out.

I also tried to reduce the spray pattern, it is not adjustable. I think I'll continue to use HydroFoam and find this to be just about the perfect product for it's application. The product isn't terribly costly but also isn't cheap. As you know anything product wise that hits the ground is simply wasted, this allows me to control how much product to use without wasting it. If I were using this product with a hose foamer I'd go through several times as much product. I do love these sprayers.

I'll change my other post so I don't lead anyone else astray.

Gearhead,

You don't have to apologize, I did not make my purchase decision based on your post so don't feel bad. I just listed the pump charge time as an observation wondering if my experience was accurate or not. It is a nice quality sprayer and it's one of those things where I'm sure I will find a suitable use for it shortly down the road once I play with it some more.

If the regular non foaming sprayers hold the charge for much longer and don't consume as much product, I'll consider adding them to my arsenal down the road. I didn't pay full price for this so I'm not worried about it.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but I was interested in the foamer. So to clarify how many pumps does does it take to charge it one time? By Migue's post it takes 40 times but I thought I seen in the video it took 3 or 4 pumps. Gearhead, how many pumps does yours need to charge one time? I was thinking about purchasing this foamer to use to spray on a pre-soak when I go to the touchless wash this winter to help disolve or loosen the salt. I don't want another pump up sprayer like the one from Autopia that I have to pump the bejesus out of to spray. I bought that because my hands would get too tired to use a squeeze trigger to put on a pre-soak with.

It takes perhaps 40 pumps at initial charge, depending upon how much product is used and how far depleted the charge is determines how many more pumps it might need. It typically would not take a full 40 pumps to recharge as you likely will not run it to zero. Perhaps 20 or 30 on the recharge. It takes 3 or 4 charges for a medium sized vehicle.

I ended up getting one. Used with hydrofoam

Filled up about 1/3 full and it definitely goes through product. Great for hf as stated before.

I counted 49 pumps (but it was 1/3 full of product) until it was hard to pump more. It lasted about 30 seconds probably less before i had to pump it again. I was surprised how much product it used.

Im not regretting my purchase at all. It does what i wanted it to but im not sure a double action foaming trigger sprayer wouldn't do just as well (if that even exists).
Id like to try it with some of my rinseless washes eventually.

I have pretty much the same experience. The former does use a good amount of product. I have to pump the former about 4-5 times to cover the vehicle. On the other hand I can waterless wash my full-size truck easily with the red sprayer without having to pump it up again.

It sounds like the other non foamers are my next kwazar purchase aside from the 360 bottles acc needs to get so i can keep my $ in house.

They are quality for sure. Truth be told I think I have done a rinseless on both my personal and work truck twice each without having to pump it and it still has pressure. Mine is loaded with GDIUDJ and I love it.

Acc has a red and black one...i cant tell the difference besides the name and color...it appears the black one has a brass tip and i cant tell what the red one has. They both advertise as able to hold wheel cleaners etc but one is hd one is not.
I like the look of the black sprayer.
Looking to buy one on this special or a 3pk of their double action litre bottles.
