Knight Shining Armor

I told my Sister-in-Law I'd detail her car. She said “you are my Knight in Shining armor; no wait, I mean my knight who is going to shine my armor.”

She had some nasty red streaks on the car that she said did not come off at the car wash. I cleaner her car months ago to remove the same marks. We have now figured they are made by her leather handbag as she squeezes by the car. It must be a tight fit because she is very then. I told her to buy a new bag!

Anyway, I spent 3.5 hours on her car (Lexus) today. I've not posted a detail in a long time so here goes.

Wheels:
P21S Gel spray & Amazing Roll Off on the tires and wheel wells.
After all was done I came back and applied Pinnacle Black Onyx tire dressing on the tires and No Touch spray on the wheel wells.

Exterior:
Washed with the foam gun and DP Xtreme Foam. I used an Edge Schmitt (White/yellow and a black Schmitt. The troublesome red streaks required the use of PB Bug Squash and the Pinnacle Bug & Tar scrub. Man, some of the marks took a lot of scrubbing to remove.

Dried with a leaf blower and the Air Wand attachment. A few little marks remained so I had to follow up with PB Spray & Wipe and a Green Cobra MF.

PB White Diamond applied with an LC Black pad and the UDM. Followed by a coat of DP Max Wax.

Interior:
I spent less time here than it needed. The floor mats needed some cleaner but I just vacuumed. Interior was cleaned with DP Total Interior in spots where it was really dirty. The Dash and other trim received a wipe of PB Natural Look and the seats got Pinnacle Leather Cleaner & Conditioner.

Now, on the the pictures!

It does my heart good just to see the familiar back alley driveways of north dallas again. :) You are a nicer brother than I am for sure. ;) A great job no matter how long you spent on it. If I donate three and a half hours on a fine day like what it looks like you were having there, then the receiver of said donated time should be more than happy. I hope you got lunch out of it at least. :)

Thanks for psoting your detail. Don't wait so long next time.;)

You have quite an eclectic product selection for your detail. How do you like that wheel brush? Where did you purchase it?

Great job -Your sister in law should be more careful with her car. Next time have her scrub the marks off and maybe she will be more careful in the future.

Nice job, and an even nicer thing to do...what were those red streaks by the way?

We think it is caused by the large red leather bag she carries. From rubbing against the car when getting by a tight parking spot.

I love the wheel brush. I bought it at AG. I think it is called the EZ brush. I debated a long time before buying it because it seems expensive to me, but It is well worth it!

That is a great idea!

+1 on the EZ brush. Mine has held up quite well. The bristles seem to be sturdy enough to be effective yet soft enough so as not to add any apparent surface marring. I need to purchase a couple more.

Great job on the Lex!:bigups I am currently working on a white car and excited to try PB White Diamond today. Your pics got me excited!:rockon

Great job on that Lexus! The detail looks perfect and that car looks sweet too!
