Klasse vs. Zaino - Durability

Is anyone familiar with Klasse vs. Zaino when it comes down to durability ? I know both are both very good products but is there a HUGE difference in durability between these 2 products.

I've got a black car and facilities for prepping the car is tough. The car is non garaged also so it sits outdoors 24/7. Basically, I've decided to go with either Z or SG for the durability. I want to prep the car properly and then apply a durable sealant. I'm thinking 2-3 coats on the initial application and then I can *top off another layer* 4 months down the road.

jsoto,

Both are very durable products......... two of the best. I doubt that anyone could accurately say that one lasts longer than the other............ certainly not a huge difference.

With that said, I think you will find either one will suit your needs just fine.

ditto.

I can only say dit .. not ditto .. cuz I have only used Zaino so far and it had great durability .. all winter up here.

Another ditto for what's already been said and...

Keep in mind that if you go the Klasse route, you're getting a great multi-use product in AIO. I use it for chrome bumper trim, headlights, chrome and aluminum wheels, side mirrors, license plates, and anything else that gets a lot of exposure to bugs and debris. I like the fact that AIO is a cleaner and it takes off the accumulated crud. You can also use it as a base for other sealants (like UPP) if you get the urge.

If you're going to top in 4 months you wont have to worry about durability differences between the two products, as they both are supposed to greatly exceed that.

You mentioned 2 - 3 initial coats.. Zaino allows for multiple coats in one day when you use zfx, but klasse requires you to wait 24 hrs - 1 week between coats.

As much as Zaino Z2 disspaoints me with it's shine I do know the Z5 does provide nice durability. I have said it before if I had to leave my car outside I would use zaino. Now I know Z2 stinks and Z5 works better on my ride. I have never used Klasse. I do know WG has been working great for me. WG made me leave Zaino all together..

Is there a disceranble visual difference between the 2 products on Black . I've heard that Zaino can be *plasticky* however I've seen pics posted of Z & SG and both look okay. Then again....pictures taken off a digital cam definately does look different when seeing the paint in person.

I have used both products Klasse (AIO+ SGx2)and Zaino (2-3 layers Z2/Z5) "last" about the same amount of time. Both offer protection and that wet look for about 5-6 months. HOWEVER, Klasse loses it's slickness after a month or two unlike the Zaino. I'll use the Klasse occasionally, but I perfer the Zaino.

I do feel Z2 and Z5 both look to "plasticky" and that is why I have been on the search for somehting better. It was a hard product to beat because of durability, but with me durability is not an issue, depth of shine and feel is.

jsoto,

Look in the abay Trading Post. There are several members that are selling their Zaino and Klasse cheap. Maybe you can purchase and try both without drive into big $$.

I've used both and I have to say that while I have no doubt that Klasse matches Zaino in terms of durability its looks deteriorate much quicker. What I really like about Zaino is that it looks consistently good for long periods of time and it is very easy to bring back both slickness and shine simply by using Z7 wash and Z6 QD.

As mentioned before it would be very hard to determine which product lasts longer, both are the best you can find in that respect.

I've not used Zaino, but I'm currently using Klasse and can confidently say that 3 layers of SG will last for 3-4 months on a car that sits outside 24/7 under normal conditions (not covered in salt or lots of fallout, etc.). I've also used 1Z GW last for the same timeframe, but feel that Klasse looked better at the end.

Doubt you'll go wrong with any of the above choices on the durability front, but they all offer a slightly different look. Pick the one you think you'll like look of best and feel you are most comfortable with the application techniques.
