Klasse VLRP: They changed it :(

Uncorked my third bottle of Klasse VLRP an got an unplesant surprise. My favorite detailing product for black plastic and vinly/leather, trim has been reworked..big time.

Before it had a very thick consistency like baby oil with sweet smell. Now its just like armor all.

The old consistency was great, just a little product and the plastic looked new without an overly glossy finish. Now I might as well just buy 303.

What gives? New enviormental laws or something?

Luckily I still have another bottle of the old stuff I hadn't opened. :argue

So it's white in colour, not clear

If that's the case, it's gonna be removed from my range

Man whadda fuggin drag...I'm glad I bought a half case of VLRP and AIO and the big size SG before the CA law went into effect, so I'm good til 2010. If the only state is CA that has that bunk law, why did they change the whole lineup? The should have just made a CA version or something like that.

my understanding is that all states are going to take to this law to in the near future.....

I think some states may have different requirements but there have been a number of product changes already among brands.

New version is not good. It rolls right off the microfiber pad I always use for my interior and onto my dress shirt! Old VLRP apply and go-Nice even drying. Leave as is for brighter shine or buff out for a more matte look.

This new stuff dries up splotchy and needs to be buffed out. So much for the nice deep shine.

This is a huge bummer is there another product similar to VLRP (old version?)

I really am not impressed that Autogeek did not advise of a significant change to this product before I purchased it.

Not looking good for klasse products except AIO in my garage. It's use is restricted to an ingredient in a few of my special product recipe's

has anyone else bought a new bottle? Could it me a botched batch?

After racingbeat's first post, I panicked and immediately ordered a new bottle of VLRP, hoping to purchase the older version. Unfortunately I too ordered from Autogeek, not knowing where racingbeat had made his purchase, and taking advantage of a promotional discount. The bottle I received today was the same disappointing formula described previously. :furious: I don't therefore believe it to be a botched batch but truly a new version.

The new revison of Klasse VLRP was changed last year by the actual manufacturer.

It is now polydimethylsiloxane emulsion (PDMS).

Not to be confused with Dimthyl Silicone, ie it is NOT Dimethyl Silicone.
