Klasse hazing

Has anyone else had this happen ? I detailed my car last week with (Klasse 2xAIO and 5Xsp) I did the SP once then waited 3 hours and did another coat. I did each additional coat (one a day) for the next 3 days. I QD the car between coasts to get the dust off before I reapplyed the SP.



A week later the car was in the hot sun and it looks like it has wax on it. So I buff it out and 2 hours later.. there it is again.. I mean you can wipe this haze off. 2 Hours later.. It's back. It's like the wax poltrigeist.



The only thing I can think of is that between coats of SP I used Einmann Fabrik Quick Detail. I'm thinking that product must have carnuba in it and it's seeping through the layers of SP ?





Either that or a ghost died on my hood.



Could be that...

If you do a search on Klasse haze you will find that you are not alone. I notice that you are in South Florida like me and coming into the high humidity season which could possibly be a cause. I fought the haze for a few months and finally stripped the Klasse off and went with Zaino or Blackfire with no hazing problems....

I had the same problem a while back. I tried everything to get rid of it and nothing really made a dent. Finally I got sick of dealing with it and stripped it all off and switched over to Zaino, I have not had a single problem since.
 
It's really quite bizarre...

It's probably the humidity, but it also may be the EF CP. You'd want to use a non-wax, non-silicone QD (Megiar's FI) or a damp (not wet) mf towel/bonnet to remove the SG residue.



I've been fortunate and not experienced the hazing that a few others have seen.
 
Mine occured the same way, it showed up 2 weeks after my 5th coat of SG. After a wash, presto it was there. It looked so bad, I almost had a heart attack when I saw it.



One of our long time members here (hook) just had the same problem about a week ago.:nixweiss
 
Altima has 2xSG and I saw the haze only briefly I don't see it now .... it has been over 2 weeks since the 2nd SG ... thnking on a third SG coat.



Leon: 2xsg , I see the haze, 2nd coat just this sunday.. will give it some time ...



This is too bad , I love how easy it is to clean the cars ...
 
I've heard about Klasse haze before I made the purchase, and as of today I have total of 6 applications on 3 different cars and notice no sign of haze. I would really like to get the infamous Klasse haze on my car (to see myself what K haze is all about), and I had been trying to duplicate this problem. I believe someone mentioned that applying w/DAMP applicator & buff w/DAMP MF is possible cause for the haze, so even though I have no problem buffing with a DRY MF, I went ahead and wet the s@iT out of the applicator and towels for the last 3 coats, and as of now still no hazing. I'll keep on trying. If someone knows a definite way to get the Klasse haze onto the car, I would like to know about it. ;) ...... I apply the same way I do with Z though. Thin Thin Thin. Not sure if it has anything to do with it. :nixweiss
 
Add me to the list of people who had that annoying haze. I didn't use a carnauba-QD, nor was it humid at all when applied. I used thin coats when applying and also used the 'ShowroomLincoln' method when removing the SG. The haze was only visible on my car under direct sunlight and they looked like 3-d swirls. Jimwh and William, what color are your cars?
 
I did the hood of my M5 with AIO + 5 coats pof SG a while back as part of a test. After the first wash I saw what Intermezzo describes as "looked like 3-d swirls". They didn't look hazy (but hard to tell on the anthracite color) - but they definitely looked like micro-marring - from the drying I think. A new coat of SG filled 'em right back - but that kind of defeats the purpose eh? Yet another reason why I decided Klasse wasn't worth the trouble for a car you're going to keep after on a regular basis.



It IS good for a car you don't want to touch more than twice a year.
 
Tony, light color cars (White & Silver). Maybe that's why I can't "see" the haze? Does color matter that much on K haze? I don't know, I do detail them under 1000 watts halogen and absolutely no sign of haze (I tried hard to look for them). :confused:



I suppose I can strip zaino off and try it on my black car, but having done all these work and if I don't see the Klasse haze (I really doubt I will), I'll be mad as hell. :D .. Well, maybe on the hood.
 
I have noticed it as well, its most noticable on dark color colors, if you wipe your finger across the "3d swirling" it will disappear almost like its got a thin film of oil on it, almost like pledge on a piece of furniture. Still looks awsome though. After another coat I'm going to start with a good carnuba based wax for a while. that should end the oily film.
 
Sadly enough, I had tried Souveran and Blitz over the SG with continued hazing problems..... I have absolutely no answers for this, only that I saw it with my own eyes. If there were no other products available that are equal to (or better) than Klasse, I would give it another (s)whirl.... :o

The strange part is that mine did not appear until 2 weeks after application.



I like Avalanche's description, it's almost like there is a tiny layer of oil on the car.....I could smear mine with just my finger as well.



I have been thinking of trying to replicate it again and then take it out to Ron Ketcham for his opinion of what the problem is, but to be honest I don't feel like going through the hassle with Klasse again.

Color matters on the K haze, but if you've looked for them under that kind of lighting, I'm 100% sure you're OK.
 
The one pictures I've seen of the Klasse haze on here was of a silver car. It looked like someone put olive oil and spread it around on a hood.



In all the hazing cases, washing and QDing with fresh towels didn't help?

just kinda curious, how would you know what olive oil on a hood looks like...is that something you've tried yourself? sure it wasn't wesson corn oil or some peanut oil?
