How can you tell if SG is still present? I've applied three coats using the WOWO method, and the beading has decreased significantly in only three weeks. The SG was applied after AIO and a 24 hour period was allowed between coats.



I use Sonus Acrylic Spritz after washing. Does Sonus Acrylic Spritz contain alcohol, like some other QDs, and actually reduce the SG film thickness? Will Sonus Acrylic Glanz improve the SG life? If so, why would you use Sonus Acrylic Spritz instead of Sonus Acrylic Glanz.:confused:

As for the KSG not beading as well after three weeks, that's funny (and not funny-ha ha). I get great beading for many, many months. Perhaps your shampoo isn't SG-friendly :nixweiss



Note that sometimes the SG seems to "sheet" when you rinse after a wash, but then it'll bead in the rain, etc. later. If it just sheets all the time then yeah, that's a sign it's going away. Three weeks is *awfully* soon for that. Next time, after you wash/dry, spray some water on the vehicle and see if it beads or sheets.



The roof of our MPS is *still* beading well after 14 (!) months. That's with more coats of SG than you have, and I don't w-o-w-o, but still...



If you can't tell by how it looks, maybe try feeling it. I find SG leaves a "plasticy" coating on the paint that I can actually feel.



But I'd sure reconsider your choice of shampoo. I find that Griot's Car Wash has virtually *no* SG-stripping characteristics at all.
 
I agree with ^. 2-3 coats of SG lasts a very long time and will bead water smaller than a nickle for many months. Check your car wash detergent.



Sonüs Acrylic Spritz is a quick detailer which will add a small amount of acrylic back to your Klasse finish as you QD. Sonüs Acrylic Glanz is not a quick detailer. It is a booster product which will boost your Klasse finish and should be applied to a perfectly clean surface. Personally I've never used the Glanz, but I do use the Spritz. I don't feel 2-3 coats of SG ever needs a booster. By the time it depletes it will be time to repolish if for no other reason than to remove oxidation and surface contaminates.
 
I never use a QD unless the surface is clean; only after washing. Can I just use the Sonüs Acrylic Glanz each time? Is there any reason not to use Sonüs Acrylic Glanz each wash or every other wash given that the surface will be clean? Would I get better results letting the SG sit on the surface for a time then removing instead of WOWO?



I'm using NXT shampoo, which i thought was fairly mild.
