i really did not like the application of this product. i didn not feel like i had a good idea of how much to apply... how thin or thick to go. i tried to keep it really thin but due to the viscosity the liquid is, its tough to control it.

anyway enough about the bad lets get to the good.

nxt leaves the paint really wet. i found the edges of all the panels looked like they were slightly melting away, really different look than ive seen before. the slickness was also the best ive ever seen. it was a differnet kind of slickness... more of a cool slickness than a staticy one. i dont know how to describe it really.

very happy with the results, protection and beading from what I can tell are solid, not amazing, but solid.

good product, will use again... just really wish it was easier to apply.

also removal was about equal with most cheap waxes, whether that is a good or bad thing I dont know. Its easier than SG but harder than s100.

whoa i just went back and looked at the car. it looks really really good now... way better than s100 good. about 3-4 hours after application. i dont know what is going on but im loving it.

If you have a PC or orbital polisher, you could try using that for application. I feel that most any liquids apply nicely via PC.

How warm was it when you used NXT? I have found the ease of use is noticably better when temps are above 50-55 or so.

Mike P. recommends the Meguiars yellow polishing pad for NXT application, speed setting 4-5. If you don't have the Meg's pad use whatever is comparable.

it was about 75 scott. i should use a pc, great idea, ill do it nex time :) finishing or polishing pad?

PC makes NXT application a breeze and very product efficient. If you love NXT results by hand , you will really be satisfied with the results after PC application.

White or finishing pad will work. If you want to enhance the mild cleansing ability of NXT a yellow pad would work great also.:wavey

Just to chime in,

I wouldn't go past the 4.0 setting for applying NXT Tech Wax, it's not neccassary and doesn't seem to help in any way.

I like higher speeds for #83, but not Tech Wax. Yesterday, at a Porsche clinic I applied using the 2.0 setting and it worked well at low speeds also.

I don't like the Meguiar's W-9006 finishing pad for applying Tech Wax, it just seems to gushy. I prefer the W-8006 or an equivilent.

thanks mike, great info. really impressed with NXT dont let the haters get you down, it is in a class of its own, and I mean it.

ok just did the next coat of nxt with the PC. i found it easy to apply this way, much easier. however, how long should i go over each spot? i treated NXT like a polish and made 4 or 5 passes over it until it disappeared completely, then went over with a MF and some FI. Looks awesome.

Topped with some s100, can't wait to see it in the shade :) my paint loves the shade.

I too just did another coat on mine using a polishing pad instead of a finishing pad, even better results! Really a great product.

I went over it a few times on speed 3.5 but I didnt work it until gone I worked it until thin, sort of until it looked like a layer of Klasse or Zaino still on the paint surface. Then waited 20 minutes and wiped off. Looks fantastic!

I also just used the NXT Tech protectant and really liked it as well. It smells like key lime too.

I may try rubbing NXT into the paint instead of just wiping it on like I do with other sealants/waxes. Maybe that will help it wipe off more easily. It isn't hard to wipe off, but sometimes it feels like it isn't completely dried even after 15 minutes. Could it be that working it in more like a polish would make a difference?
