The 1 time I need to go to a parking place with a parking attendent, I`ve got marring on the hood - as if they took a towel and there are deeper RIDS on the adjacent quarter panel.

I was only gone for 3 hrs :wall

I suppose this would be a time to try out my my bottle of Essence Plus I have lying around

Jeeze. Sorry to hear this. All the more reason to avoid handing our keys over to anyone.

I`ve never needed to until now....but has anyone has any success with regular Essence on CQ and a Cyan Pad....
Does it cut or not ?

I`ve got both on the shelves...

That sucks! So they just touched your car without your permission? :|
Regular essence with a cyan hydro tech pad is going to cut both from the abrasives in essence and the pad itself. If you just want to repair the coating you may want to try essence plus with a finishing pad first to see what it does :)

Boss Cyan...

Have not used my E+ yet. I know it will deal with the marring on the hood based on the EP+ reviews I`ve seen

On the quarter panel, I don`t really need the fill properties of EP....I need to get the RIDS

Ah sorry, I didnt know Boss had a Cyan pad?
thought it was just the white, orange, yellow and black.

My wording is the one that is bad....
It is Orange..but is CC

I`m 50/50 on cut vs. Fill.
Can`t recoat ontop of EP+ - but curiousity wants to see how it does...
Maybe EP+ on the hood and cut and recoat on the quarter

Too p1ssed to think before, but I put 1+1 together just right now

The hood mark is where the attendant put the ticket or removal of the ticket...
Doesn`t explain the very linear micromarring, but I suppose he decided to wipe it...
The quarter panel is probably his body and whatever was in his belt (eeks) as he leaned in
The DS door....eh....

I had a similar experience when I left my car at the Tesla service center. It was swirled and scratched up in multiple places.

I used E+ with a white Rupes pad and it got rid of the vast majority of the offending marks.

What was your base layer.... Kevin

Mine is CQ UK / CQ

Coating on the paint is fresh. 3 Months old...
Debating course of action. Spot polish the 3 panels with Essence and then recoat
Just go over the entire panels with EP+

I know EP+ was just released but if anyone has observed the differences, can anyone shed some wiki comparisons on water or dirt behaviour ontop of EP+ compared to the same behaviour on coating..

Same, similar, different, etc. This was help me steer the course on which direction of correction/masking I go

Aw man, sorry to hear about that :(

Gotta explain the do/don`t do stuff to such people. Every time unless you`re a regular. Also gotta impress upon them that it`s in their best interest to *NOT* [tick] you off. Big hassle, oh yeah...but better than marred paint. I`ve had to, uhm...touch...people to prevent damage and it can become, uhm...unpleasant. But marring is forever in a certain sense while people can get over things.

Essence cuts. Basically like Reflect. Probably is Reflect with other ingredients. Try the new Essence + and let us know the results.
