Just Got my HD Poxy.... How thick is this stuff suppoesed to be?

I just recieved my 32oz of HD Poxy. I keep hearing about how little to use on a vehicle so I was quite surprised to find the Poxy quite stiff at the upper part of the bottle. Even after messing with it for a while and shaking the bottle I still find it quite stiff.

If I squeeze the bottle I can get the product to come out of the top (with the cap off) in a semi solid "extrusion". (yeah, looks like a ehhem..turd). There is no way it would come out of the little pop up cap opening.

I would post a picture but can't since this is my first post (only 9 more to go....lol)

Thanks...

Neil

The Poxy is very thick and "buttery" in the bottle as we dont use water or fillers. If you apply it on the car, it will spread smooth and melt on the vehicle surface almost immediately. Once the carriers evaporates, HD Poxy will cure to a smooth, hard shell within 24 hours.

When you first get it, there's so little room in the bottle that it's harder to shake up. But once you've used it on a few cars you have more room to shake it up and then it has a better consistency. Though I have noticed there are always two dried pieces on the tips when I first pop the top.

That was my reaction when I first used Poxy

I'm sure by now you've heard what my first reaction was to Poxy......"This stuff doesn't cut very well at all.":hmph:

I use the top by pressing it into the applicator (red foam pad) while moving it around. It gets into the pad and then I put the DA on about 1-2 speed and go! It spreads forever!

Not sure if most cars will outlive a 32 oz. bottle of POXY! :)

Something must be wrong with my bottle because it almost comes out like oil with little chunks in it, and yes I do give it a good shake before using it...hmmmm

Here is a pic of what mine looks like. In the bottle it is almost like thousand island salad dressing...oily with floaties in it.

I covered about half of a black 320SLK today with 2 drops on a red finishing pad. I prob. could have done more, but felt like putting another dot on just to be sure. Wow!

Was impressed and that was after Opt. Finish Polish and PolishII on Flex/Griots with UNO green pads.

You'll see my employee working- best employee, ever! (he's better than I am IMO), but I'm the boss so I don't tell him. :)

--customer gave me a budget of $200 for total work + interior so we did not go to 100%, but it was still about 90% better and more than he expected so a win-win.
