Just found out Dad has a Hitachi rotary! Help with backing plate!

Well like the title says. I have wanted to give a rotary a try for a while now, and the other day I found out my Dad has a Hitachi Rotary. I need to know which backing plate I can use. I already know I want to use the LC Concaved pads, but I cannot come up with anything as for what backing plate will fit it. Anyone know what I backing plate I can use? Thanks

Need more info. How does the plate mount on it? The industry standard has a threaded male post that sticks out of the machine. This threads into a threaded female backing plate. I forget the size but most rotaries use the same standard size.



If yours is weird, a machine shop can whittle up an adaptor in no time (cut, thread, done- that easy). All you'd have to do is buy a backing plate for a Makita/PC/Dewalt/etc. and take the plate and the polisher into the shop.



Maybe search the net for Hitachi and find some product info.
