Just Bought Griots Full 6" Polish Kit

Just got a Black 2002 VW Golf TDI for a great price due to the heavily neglected exterior and interior.

I finally got the inside looking GREAT. Had to replace a few things but mostly used elbow grease. Anyways, I'm onto the exterior now. I bought some Mothers Clay, Polish, and Wax and spent some hours on the hood but didn't do much good.

So I broke down and spent $300 on the full polishing kit from Griots and can't wait to hopefully knock out the plethora of swirl marks all over my otherwise awesome ride. It comes later this week and I'm starting on the worst part; the hood.

Anyways, I'm just posting because I'm super pumped and hoping the kit helps me out.

Anyone else have good results with Griots gear?

ThirstyTurtle- Welcome to Autopia!

I'll be interested to hear how the all-Griot's approach works for you. I love that polisher, but I've never treid it with the Griot's Machine Polishes. In the past, I was less-than-thrilled with those polishes, but I did find that they worked better with my aggressive polishers than with my PC; since the Griot's Polisher *is* nice and aggressive, maybe the combo will work out great.

Which polishes did you get...did you get the MP#4? I've been curious about how that one leaves things.

Which wax came with that?

Hello!

I have used the Griot's products and machines, and I am thrilled with them. I haven't used all of them (haven't found it necessary for me), but I have used their Sealant and their Polish/Sealant combo (Sealant 3 in there). Both have worked great for me. This was mostly on newer cars, although I did use it on a badly neglected Jeep GC and it worked nicely as well -- even though I still stuck with the Polish/Sealant combo and just spent more time on it.

I've been thinking about trying their new paste wax, maybe on top of the sealant. I've never layered before, but can't think of a better way to try it!

Let us know how your project comes out!
