Due to the overwhelming opinion about this product on this site, I decided to try buy it. Should be here next week. :bigups I hope it's as good as you guys make it out to be. I just hope it can help keep the pollen off my black car. Anyway, just thought I'd share with you guys.

It worked better then I expected, but it didn't do much for the tree pollen.

I also wanted to see what the fuss was all about and purchased some 425 a couple weeks ago. It is a very good product indeed. But I'm not really sure if I need it in my aresonal. I have a billet silver Honda Ridgeline and use the Klasse twins (my lsp is simply SG). If the truck is filthy I shampoo; if it is just dirty I use QEW; and if it is just bird bombed, water spots or dusty I simply use Poorboys SW. So using a dedicated QD (I really think SW is better at cleaning than as a true QD), is not necessary for me for its cleaning ability.

Instead, I want a QD that I can use to touch up an already fairly clean vehicle, or right after one of the washes mentioned above, or even to use as sort of a mini-sealant and protectant to extend my Klasse applications. The 425 seems to do this job very well but not any better than Menzerna HGAS, Jeffs SG or my homebrew that I always talk about here which is 1 part Klasse SG to 3 parts distilled water (in a mister bottle). I have done panels using each, stood back and honestly could not tell much difference among them. Maybe on a different color I might but not on my silver.

I still do not know how the durability of 425 will play out. If it exceeds the others then it will have a place, if not, I will use it up on my golf cart (or buy it based on price, sales, rebates, etc.).

I recieved a small sample bottle of 425 with my very first FK order (2180&1000p) and I was hooked. I bought the gallon with my next order. VERY quality product.

I recently bought a gallon too, but i dont think its any better or worse than Quikshine. I wanted fk1425 for its anti dusting properties, but it didnt really help with the tree pollen. I do however like that it smells way better than QS and is cheaper :p .

One thing to understand the anti-static property of a product:

An anti static product won't prevent dust from settling to a surface. Anti-static doesn't mean 'dust repellent' or 'invisible force field'.

Instead, it will stop the dust attraction. In dusty climates/areas, airborne dust and pollen will still settle/sit on the surface - but a bit less than usual. Anti-static products won't attract as much dust as you can observe with certain carnaubas, laptop/TV screens, (portable) electronic appliances, etc. The dust, which settles down to a car's (mainly horizontal) surfaces is easier to clean because the 425 has incredible slickness.

Based on all the positive reviews here, I thought I'd try the FK products too. I went for their little "mini sampler set" for $20 or whatever it was. I was mostly interested in the #425.

My two Caddys are both sable black, daily drivers, parked outside 24x7 in southern New Jersey near chemical plants and the Delaware River. Couldn't get much worse, eh?.. :)

I normally try to brush or wipe them down each day just to keep the bird drops and dust down to a minimum - we had a fairly dry winter, and there's a lot of dust/sand/grit in the air around my area here. I've used the Megs QD, Klasse SG cut 1/10 with distilled water, and now this FK425 as quick clean up sprays. The 425 is a nice product and seems to work at least as well as the others, and smells better, to boot.

I will have to wait and test for a few more weeks, seeing what happens after a rainstorm, etc. I will say the vertical parts of both cars seem to be attracting a bit less dust - no big difference on the hood, roof or trunk, but the doors and fenders seem to stay cleaner, and get cleaner, easier.

Jury still out.
