im curious..what type of class were you competing in? was it just modern muscle xx year and up?

looks like a lot of classic show cars id bet competition was tough

This wasn't class competition. These are "picks" by spectators/sponsors. For some reason, I prefer these types of shows. Great variety of cars, lots of crazy old fart car guys so I fit right in. :D They guy that does these shows is super nice and great sense of humor.

all the shows i attend for fun- the crowd is not that friendly

i got 2nd place once in a modern challenger show (only trophy my car has ever won)
never before have you seen such a dinky trophy held with such high regard as in my living room. haha

Most of these people are great. A bunch of fun actually. My kid has won trophies with both his Challenger and his Vette.

This guy welcomes all. There are even guys who bring bicycles from the 1950's
 
i love going to car shows
sometimes you see something that makes you scratch your head, twice
some people seem to be able to pull off much more on their vehicles that i can mine

Agreed.

IDEA: Put some pontoons on that thing, float it across the Gulf. We can go to shows here.

that would be fun. i could finally get some merlin shots!
went to get a palm tree myself last month and it seemed like too much upkeep here in tx so i passed

It rains, it grows, frons fall off, trim 2-3 times a year.

the tree guy told me you have to trim them a lot in tx and water them a lot..my water bill is already higher than my electric bill thanks to a horrible water company

i don't know anything about them..but i just found it quite odd that he was trying to NOT sell me one

Our sprinklers are fed from the canal
