Jorgen`s Bucket of shine

this apears to be a plug from a shameless shiller... but maybe they want an honest opinion... so here goes....

IMO -- looks like yet another private labler... Congradulations on the Costco distribution system which will net them millions in revenue even if their stuff is junk. I even like the way they slap there sticker on a Cyclo and/or a PC with the edge 2000 adapter and call it "theirs". Beautiful marketing, product placement, a great idea -- to bad I can't find that kind of capital investment!!

here's their site:

Car Care Products - Car Wax & Polishes, Machine Polishers, Wash Mitts, Cleaners, Carnauba Wax, Auto Detail Kits & Supplies

As Steve posted most people start off with a bit of an intro.....who you are, where are you from, back ground, etc.

It just looks a bit suspicions to some, and we are ALL very protective of our sponsors, with out them this forum would not be here

That's my take

actually Joe, my take is that dr detail saw it as it looks and the person came on made a quick post, looking like a shill, and then bolted ... didn't hang around for a response or discussion, let alone tell us his his/ her name or location :notme:

First post on products always raise an eyebrow or two ..as far as locations how many times has Jay or charles ask that we post our locations to make it easier to help one another with a question...I respect your answer but if theres a schill give him a enough rope and he'll hangself then move to ban him without warning..

btw..i've read jorgens is another relabel of CGs products which some have shown to be quite impressive

something posted like this over at autopia last year. Sounds a lot like y questions from 2 years ago on MALCO products, which I have/had and didnt know anything about. Now look at me , the BIGGEST pain on DC. HAHA, at least I think HAHA. Im bored

Interesting that you blame it on Costco. Why not attack the manufacturers who are making the deal to have their product rebadged to increase their sales?

Oh Yea, Hi, I'm Rick. New to the site from central CT. Joined the site so I could take proper care of my 'toy'. I have no relationship with any manufacturer or retailer.... I'm a project manager at the Health Insurance company.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I didn't see where anyone was "blaming" Costco for anything.
I think he was congratulating the Jorgen's people for getting their products in the Costco stores. That's kind of like landing a contract with Wal*Mart or Sam's Club. Overnight they will be in stores with 64.4 Billion in 2007 sales. The Costco stores are the 4th largest retailer in the U.S.

As far as rebadging if we were to stop that practice, an awful lot of products would disappear from a lot of companies.
Remember the Isuzu/Hondas, the Toyota/GMs not to mention the in-house rebadging.
I think people will weed out the bad products in due time. If a product doesn't work for me, I don't buy it again. I think most of you will do the same.

I'm not blaming Costco, I'm praising their power of product placement, as well as patting those on the back who had the capital investment to put the whole deal together -- Jorgen's stands to make a large chunk of change by tapping Costco's distribution chain. The products cover the full line-up, are user friendly, and yeild the desired results for Costco's ample consumer base. They are however not IMO a substitute for professionals. And, as I said, even if the products are junk, who's really gonna complain, maby the one in seventy-five who brings it back for a refund??

Believe me, there is some green-eyed monster in me that rears it's ugly head when I see something that I've frustrated over and let go of for the plain and simple fact that I just do not, nor can, and doubtfull ever will, have the capital for the endeavors that have ran through my brain and out of my mouth.
