Hello -

Just seeing if any of you could tell me your opinions of Jeff's Werkstatt Prime and Acrylic Jett vs. Blackfire. I have Jeff's W Prime and Acrylic Jett and these are the best products I have ever used.

Now my friend tells me that Blackfire is a better product than Jeff's Werkstatt Prime and Acrylic Jett. I have never heard of Blackfire.

Has anyone ever compared the two? If so, what are your opinions.

Thank you,

I bought Blackfire when it first came out, I'm sure it's much improved, however the durability wasn't that long. The looks were fantastic though!

I have used both and, honestly I prefer the BF. I see 3-4 months of durability with BF, and I am at 2 months on my dad's car with JW and it isn't looking all that hot. Overall as a sealant for light colors I prefer 2180 over JW, the Werkstatt look is just too glassy for me. On darks, I really like BF. Gives a clear, deep looking finish with excellent optical range that is super slick, whereas Werkstatt gives a wet glass look which IMO is sterile. I know Werkstatt is a highly praised product around here, but it is just not my cup of tea, I guess. Just my 0.02.

I have both . I prefer the JW Prime acrylic an AJ ( AJT). Blackfire is really good to.

I don't consider durability as much as I do a deep wet shine. IMO JW gives a better look and Blackfire tends to dry in the cracks if your not careful. As I said before I don't like to mix product lines so if I use Blackfire ( I have the whole kit ) I use it all if I am using Werstatt( have that whole line as well) I use all their products. I think you get a better idea on how the product is performing when you do this. As I don't measure durability as much I did find however that Werstatt lasted longer based on washings on my wifes van.

I had Blackfire on for a few months then switched to JW for a few months so it was a decent test.

On my car however I use Zaino exclusively because of looks and the durability is a bonus.

JW vs Blackfire, I like Werksatt. As a side note both BF and JW blow FMJ away.

I have tried both the products and I find the difference to be pretty marginal.

BF feels slightly slicker and looks slightly wetter

JW looks shinier and more reflective with a slickness that lasted longer.
