Jeep renegade

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Since it was a dreary day, figured i would see what the renegade was all about. Test drove a limited one. 2.4 9-speed auto. Jeep is really getting their interiors spot on. I am sure fiat has a influance in it. Well, for a small suv it really shined. Power was enough for the small footprint. Comfort and handling were also great. The cold weather group gets you the heated seats and steering wheel. Something to be said for a heated steering wheel! lol. Selectable drive modes for the surface you are on. All in all i thought it was very capable for a smaller suv. I would put one in the driveway over a wrangler.

I'm really trying to like it, but the rear end is just too ugly for me, especially the tail lights. The front end is killer, but once you get to the rear, ehh. The 2.4 is also not too well received from what I've been reading.

But luckily while driving it you don't have to look at the back end.....

I considered a jeep in the past. Could never get past the horrible gas mileage.

It looks more of the old VW Rabbit in the front (round lights boxed in grille) and the rear end end of a Kia Soul. I wonder if this is more for the non-US market.

I wouldn't, because the Wrangler will go places that aren't paved.

Agree. But after 2 wranglers that leaked water in the interior, with no fixes, their build quality SUCKS. Too bad too. Awesome, fun, vehicle but too many faults. RENEGADE BUILT QUAILTY BETTER? Dont know.

That's ok. If you're using it with full doors and a top you're using it wrong anyway. :0
