Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

My mom was talking to someone she works with and my detailing came up. The lady owns a Jeep GC Limited. I don't know the year, but I think it is relatively new (less than 5 years?). I took a look at it and was suprised to find minimal swirling and everything looked to be in pretty good condition, even the brake dust wasn't too bad up front. The interior didn't look too bad either, just normal winter dirt from New Englad.

I was just wondering who here had worked on Jeep GCs before, and how easy the paint was to work with (hard/soft). I probably won't get to do it for a few weeks (need some better weather) but would like to know what I'm up against.

I'm planning just a light polish (1Z), AIO, SG, #26, or #16 if I have any by then.

What color is it?

Nothing different from most other cars, I find Jeeps paint rather soft and easy to work with. They have a cheap felt like carpeting that is almost impossible to clean but other than that, no big deal.

The color, judging by the current site, is Light Khaki Metallic. It's that light brown color that they have. Glad that you feel their paint is a bit soft :). I didn't get to get in it and check out the carpet, but it's got leather and I didn't see any stains, so thats a plus too.

I have an '01 JGC Laredo thats Platinum (pewter) and its easy to work with. I've also done a red JGC limited with Menzerna IP, FP, and zaino topped with S100 and it came out great!

the carpet on the grands is not a problem

Maybe for you, but I've found the weave on it is so tight and the pile is so short its hard to get an sxtractor through it to get it very clean. Its a common carpeting on Chrysler products.
