I looked all over for that turtle wax tire gel, nothing! Closed i found wash the finish 2001 turtle wax tire gel and the Turtle wax Tire WAX (in a box with an applicator). Other than that, what kind of tire gel is recommended that I can buy locally? Is the black magic stuff any good or EO wet shine?

uhhh, I think the Finish 2001 (TW) tire gel with Tri-silicone? was what DK was talking about. Its in a bright green bottle.

It is discontinued so find what you can and buy, in which I think you already found it.....

Gosh I haven't fallen asleep yet, I think I'll pull another 32 hour day.

Sweet, i didnt know it was the green bottle. My auto parts store has TONS of this stuff. Ill pick up a few bottles.

why did you bump an 8 year old thread, and of all threads, one that has absolutely no good information in it?

Well to stay on your subject I havent got any sling from the dressigns I use as long as I dont spray it on the tire. I find gels work better and certain foam applicators are better than others.. I get no sling from the water based gels I use. If its solvent based I make sure to do a wipe down and let it dry

I commented on his ridiculous bumping of old threads a couple of days ago...

On that day he had bumped a 4.5 y/o, a 5 y/o, and a 7.5 y/o thread.

Today he has bumped a 3 y/o, a 5 y/o and a 9 y/o thread.

Go figure...

I dont mind when people bump threads, especially when theyre very informative and the bump itself adds something to it, but this guy never even posts on topic.

Did they have anything in common?

....he's been on my ignore list since he started posting back in August. I couldn't handle the arrogance and lack of useful insight to be honest

Have anyone heard of or used these products? I was thinking about buying some and thought I would seek your professional or experiance opinions.

A guy doing some work at my house swears by the stuff. Then again, his cars doesn't look so hot. He brought a bottle out and I did a small spot on his work van and the stuff appears to be a non-abrasive cleaner/wax. Goes on & off real easy, even in the sun. It leaves a slick shine but you won't get any correction out of it due to lack of abrasives. The stuff reminded me of a product from The Wax Shop called Super Glaze. It had some sort of petroleum-based carrier that smelled like kerosene and coconuts... easy to use, cleaned a lot of crud, even tar but longevity was non-existent.

Would I buy it? No. That doesn't mean it doesn't have it's uses. It'd probably be just the thing for an occasional cleanup on a work truck or van that gets used and abused but someone wanted to try and keep a quick easy shine on it. YMMV.
