It seems that Zaino improves with time..

Like most people who try Zaino the excitment and ease of application causes one to apply multiple coats very frequently. When I first started using Zaino I applied coats almost every 1-2 days. Over the last 2 months I have been traveling alot and really did not have the time or energy to apply more layers. To my amazement the Zaino shine seems to have improved with just washing with Z7 or just rinsing off with water and QD'ing with Z6 and not applying any Z2/5 over this time period. Is this a normal observation? :nixweiss It seems that spacing out the application of Zaino is the way to go. Keep in mind that the car was always garaged during this period.

Yo this is great isnt it:) I think that it has a lot to do with the Z7.........? I realy dont know though, just that I like it:)

Sorry. I need to learn how to read better. I think I do have one picture of the interior. I will try to find it... I know the lighting was not great for that interior picture.

YEs black it does seem to maintain its shine and maybe get better with washings and QD sesssions. Well to me at least and that is what counts!

Why layer at all then?

I currently have about seven coats of Z-5 and one coat of the 'new' Z-2. The coats are about four weeks old now and the car just continues to look better and better. I'm starting to notice a few mars here and there on my coats, but it's nothing that a few coats of Z-5 can't handle. Looks like I'll be slapping on a few coats this weekend.

Cause it is fun RH! :D

I find it hard to not put a layer on after I wash and QD. I have to tell myself not too. My new secret to not puting more layers on is to drink a beer and detail the bicycle. :D

I guess I am not going crazy or lowering my expectations.:bow

Sorry JOED 1228. I can not find that picture. I will try to get a good one real soon. The interior is black and leather ( triple black - interior, exterior and convertible top).

Just for fun, I've been keeping track of coin washes on my Cherokee. Since my last application of Z-2, I've washed it 9 times using the coin wash soap and full pressure, hand scrubbing between the wash & rinse using a Turtle Wax 100% cotton chenille wash pad. BTW, the Turtle Wax pad is much more plush with longer cotton strands than the Viking chenille pad. Anyway, driving in the rain today, the hood beaded up just as much as always. Now mind you, I was once a Zaino distributor, but have never considered myself a Z zealot. But I honestly have tried them all and haven't found any better yet. I did try MG's crystal carnuba over the Z once and it looked noticably deeper and warmer, but it didn't last long, obviously went away after the first wash. I'd do it again for a show or something but not worth it for my daily driver.

don't ask ;)

I think zaino users should detail "other people's" cars too :) because it's the addiction of applicaton that keeps many of them from doing so because they can't keep up on it. Why not spread the wealth? :nixweiss

YoSteve, Addiction? Sure, you keep getting better MF towels and I have to keep buying them! I have to have all these little plastic drawers marked "glass", "buffing", "wheels", "peanut butter". You should be ashamed!:xyxthumbs

So my neighbor's car (yes, the one that laugh at me when I use leaf blower, or the one that kept on telling me that I'm going to wash my paint off) can look shinier than mine? HECK NO!!! :D :D

YoSteve,

I do spread the wealth.

I think I've done Z on two of my co-workers' cars and on four of my friends' cars. Of course, I only layer 2-3 coats. Like William said, I'll be damned if their cars get shinier than mine! :D
