it isn't easy being green....

Who turned on the pine pollen factory in the Northeast today? I worked my part time job at the Massachusetts Fire Academy today. The Academy is surrounded by woods primarily made up of pine trees. At the end of the day, I came out to find my Pacific Green F-150 a different shade of green.

I have a white pine in the front yard.. the pollen from just that one tree turned my black asphalt driveway green!

I washed the truck and pulled into my garage to dry it... at least it will stay clean for a while!

I walked up to my truck today up near Nashua, NH and said, who painted my red F250 GREEN?

If you need any extra pollen, I can send it your way. I bet the people in places like Las Vegas have no idea what we are talking about.

Then there is the kamakazi catapillers that dive bomb my truck as I drive. Bug guts all over the windshield. YUCK.

Just another reason to wash, wash and wash.

Gonzo0903, I notice some similarities in our vehicles. Perhaps that is a link to the pollen problem?

We have yellow pine pollen here in Vegas as well. Sometimes when the wind is blowing it is like a "Yellow Out". Most of the time it is just dust, dust, dust. I sometimes think I should sleep with my Cal Duster, 8 cars and a motor home keeps it busy.

In reading threads about the pollen it is easy to track its South to North movement. It was in NJ about 2 weeks ago.

Yeah, not to be rude to you people further north, but thank God it has gotten better recently!

Here in AZ the main culprits are the dust and the Mesquite trees. They give off a fine 'mist" of sap/tar into the air near them that coats anything in site. They are also VERY hard to kill in an apartment complex without using a saw.... Nuthin' further will be said.....
