Hey guys, did a nice IS300 today, it was in bad shape due to swirls.....

Steps:

1. Wash: Megs

2. Clay: Sonus grey

3. Megs DACP with orange LC pad

4. Some fenders did not need DACP thus used SSR 2.5 with orange LC pad

5. Megs Swirl remover White LC pad

6. PB Carnuba Polish White LC pad

7. Danase Paste wax (this wax is really good)

Before:

There were a lot of swirls but I was able to get most of them out

After:

It turned out really nice, it was sooo nice and black, most of the swirls were removed and also it was dripping wet. I think the quality of the OEM paint also had something to do with this

The owner was really happy, also I wish I can get some better pics soon

thanks again

beautiful turn around! i have a neighbor that has that exact same color and model lexus, and it even has the same matching swirls in the 1st and 2nd pic. i was tempted to ask if they would like a detail, but am discouraged as the males in that household look like gang members :hide: ...

Cool! Great job! I'm wondering whether there were any issues using the DACP in the sun? Also, do you have any tips that would help me when I begin polishing with DACP soon? And one more question: Is Meguiars Swirl Remover Meguiars #9?

Hey guys I used a Dewalt 443, all the polishing was done in the garage, overall it was a slow process. I needed about 2 passes with DACP so it took a while. The detail took a full 7-8 hours, and that did not include the interior

I think swirl remover is 9, I usually use SSR 1 but I ran out so I was using the megs, its a good product, very versatile, easy on and off

The DACP, has been very easy to use, it take multiple passes and slow passes to remove heavy swirls, but it is easy to take off. But while polishing you have to go slow, as otherwise it will haze. Overall it leaves minor hazing, as you can go to a megs 9, ssr 1 type polish, or even with the PB Carunba polish it has been able to remove the hazing.
