Is Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant just really hard to get out of pads?

Or am I doing something wrong?

I always hear people say - Oh I just soak it in a little dawn (or other) for a few minutes and then hand wash the pad. - Well I just ran nearly a half a bottle of dawn over a CCM red pad with WDGPS in it and it's in the washing machine right now because I was still getting small amounts sealant out of it. It seems to kill the dawn in seconds - no more suds - with lots of product still coming out of the pad. So I do another big shot of Dawn and another gallon bucket of hot, cold, or warm water (5 in all so far) and still it's not clean!

This is only my second time doing an LSP with the PC, both with the same product, and this is the same problem I had last time too.

Am I using too much? I put a quarter size blop per panel at first, reducing to nickel size after the pad gets loaded with the stuff. Frankly it seems like I can stop adding more sealant after maybe half the car but I've never heard of doing that so I didn't.

Is it the product or is it me?

Yes i have dedicated a pad to this product! It lasts 4 or more and hardly changes it looks so prehapes thats why its so hard to get out of the pad!

Oh OK that makes me feel a lot better. Both about my abilities and the ability of this stuff to stick to the car. Thanks.

I guess I'll be getting another red pad then...

I've seen that too. We say Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 is tough and repels water and detergent and this is a great example.

+1. I even hit it with Dawn Power Dissolve 2x. I might have to go the route of dedicated pad as well. Nothing I've used has been tougher to clean out of pads, be it carnauba wax, glaze or other sealants. Impressive stuff indeed. Also can't believe how slick it makes the paint. Does wonders on glass too.

Even at $39.95 it seems like a worthy buy. Just put two coats on the Audi. If it offers as much protection on paint as is tough to remove off pads I'll be overjoyed. Have read some posts that the durability isn't so great.

We'll see...
