Is this vendor forum dead or what?

Any einszett fans out there with anything to talk about? I'm anxiously awaiting my order of the new Perls Shampoo to try out. I've talked with Nick at Detailer's Paradise and he really likes it, so I've got high hopes for this product. The price is a bit bothersome (same as Exclusiv but you only get 250 ml) but I guess it is the new polymer technology we're paying for.

Anybody else tried Perls yet?

i've had my supply of perls for about a month now and had two samples to try out prior to that. i like it alot, especially since i don't get to wax my truck as often as i'd like to. in direct sunlight it will spot up a little, but you really can see the beads form as soon as you start to rinse your car off. this combined with a little qd to remove any spotting and you've got a quick just waxed look on your car in no time. it lasts about 2 weeks from my experience on customer's cars, but on my truck it lasts longer. i guess that's because i take care of it better than my customer's take care of their vehicles when i'm not there to do it. anyway, i'm sure you'll love it. i love the 1Z line, but it doesn't seem to be catching on around here too much.

Thanks for the quick review sonnydaze1, sounds pretty good. I'll have to speard the word on ClubB5. That's one place where the word has spread about 1Z!

I was excited when they [1Z] became sponsors but since then nothing. Michael must be very busy, but it sure would be nice if they would get active and let us in on new products or discounts or something.

yes macgirl, michael is extremely busy right now which is why he doesn't often get to respond on this forum. i have been using the 1Z line since April 2002, longest of anyone on this forum i think. since using the products and receiving such great results i've become a distributor for 1z. currently michael and i are working on getting a booth for the annual World of Wheels car show here in the New Orleans Superdome in January '04. there are some new products due to come out by the springtime; one of which is a quick detailer that will be using the same polymer protection found in the perls shampoo. another product michael is thinking of bringing in is 1Z's version of a multi-purpose solution. it can be used for a variety of different things with varying dilution ratios. i am currently testing this product and another for michael right now. the other product is similar to the tiefenpfleger(vinyl/rubber), but is said to last longer on exterior trim. the tiefen is all i use on my exterior trim 'cuz it's the only thing that doesn't wash off. i check this forum daily and sometimes chime in when i have something worth saying or feel i can be of some help, but most of the threads i've seen regarding 1z don't need any response from me. i'd be happy to answer any of your or anyone else's questions anytime.

Thanks again sonnydaze1. I have been using 1Z since around May of 2002. I started with the samples of Metallic Polish and Glanz Wax I got from Michael and bought them immediately from Virtual World Parts, they were one of the few dealers then. The quick detailer sounds promising.....this polymer stuff is sounding like the wave of the future a la Meguiars big hype of the new NXT line.

Could you compare the durability of 303 to Tiefenpfleger? I've only used 303 and I've got a gallon so I'm not looking to get something new very soon. The new "tiefen" is something I would definitely be interested in. If it lasts longer and doesn't wash off like 303, I could be converted! Do you know if this will be available in a gallon size, I use a lot of protectant....black interior and leather plus lots of black plastic lower trim?

macgirl, imho i prefer the tiefen over 303. i've tried the 303 and can't stand it; washes off way too easy. i only recoat my exterior trim about once every 2 months with the tiefen. the only time i've ever gotten runoff from the tiefen is when it's rained the same day i put it on. any time it's been able to sit a day or 2 w/out rain it's lasted for weeks. all i do is wash my truck with either 1z exclusiv shampoo or now the perls shampoo and qd everything and i'm good to go. no need to reapply the tiefen each time. the durability of the tiefen on tires varies depending on the wall surface of the tire(flat, riges, raised letters, etc.). the new stuff is not a new tiefen but something alltogether different. it is called Kunstoff Intensiv Pflege and if i remember correctly what michael told me it's only for exterior trim and lasts longer than tiefen. i'd read you the label but it's in german. as far as your interior the tiefen would work for everything but the leather - it's not ph balanced for leather, but it won't hurt it either. you'd need the leather care for that - good stuff! i don't think any of it will be available in gallon sizes, but you don't need to use a whole lot. a little goes a long way. have you tried the tiefenpfleger? if not i may be able to send you a sample to try and the leather care too. pm me or send me an email about that.
